but to stay "awol" for the rest of your life is difficult, because it simply means not returning to singapore for the rest of your life. Unless you managed to get a totally different identity.
Go MO and tell him you want excuse green colour.Originally posted by epImetheus:anyone knows how to get OOT at sispec?

get out of singapore before you are 11.5 years old, get a citizenship elsewhere. This way, you are not liable for NS and you still can come and go out of singapore.
The "shady" way,
get out of singapore before you enlist, you are technically not awolling, but you are in breach of the enlistment act. You get into trouble upon your return to singapore.
The "stupid" way,
while serving NS, take leave to go overseas, and never to come back. Awol 6 months and you face desertion charge.
it seems you have been asking questions relating to serving NS the "alternative" way... can i help you in anyway?

Well you can escape to another country and seek asylum (or I'll say, defection) in that country.Originally posted by kengkia:now putting it shortlly if i wanna awol & go other country wad essential doc i've bring along???...is it tat easy???
another one..Originally posted by chikopek:OK. There are other ways than AWOL if you want to escape army NS, Only that whether you want to do it or not:
1) Sign on as policeman or civil defence.
2) Make yourself physically disabled (paralysed) then you will be PES F. But bear in mind that it will affect you forever.
3) Go for a sex change
For defection to another country, if one are getting caught, then he/she will be charged by treason and it could be death sentence.Originally posted by RaTtY81:gays aso ned to serve ns leh n aso i heard tat deflection mayb punishable by death( or isit desertion?)
