anybody here know wat is di zhang wang sutra

In English it's called the 'Sutra of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva's Fundamental/Original Vows'.
It's quite commonly distributed in Buddhist temples and affliated organisations and there are quite a number of Buddhists who chant the sutra as their morning and night routine. -
aka Earth Store Bodhisattva (sutra).
it's all about "xiao4"(Filial piety).

I remember reading an episode of Doraemon where he went back in time with Nobita to help some poor peasants with his 22nd century gadgets... and the peasants mistook Doraemon as a manifestation of bodhisattva Ksitigarbha

Di (Earth ) Zhang (Store) Jing (Sutra)
is the short form of the whole sutra name
the Original Vows of Ksheetigarbha Bodhisattva
His Causal ground of practice as a Bright eye Lady whose vow to save Her mother from the cauldron of burning hell ,as Her mother committed the grave offense of killing fish while alive to eat the liver fresh[this part of the fish correct me if i am wrong ]
Her vow awakened her bodhicitta and she become Ksheetigarbha Bodhisattva
in the future stage
Buddha Sakyamuni ascended to Trayamatrimsa Heaven(known as Dao Li tian)
to preach in the Presence of His last birth mother,Queen Maya , a resident of the heaven.
It describes the fruition of all the bad deeds and good deeds in Saha World
and the Description of 8 Hot, Cold and Ceaseless Hell
the Sutra derives the name of Ksheetigarbha Bodhisattva
meaning Earth Store
Which Earth encompasses all good and bad ,evil and non-evil
This Earth is like the mind ground of all Bodhisattva practitioner .If the mind ground is not that strong , a mahayana bodhisattva practitioner faces dillemma in situation which could be unresolved
"the path ahead is uncertain ,but Bodhicitta is the direction "
If kumangal , you could focus on one sutra and recite the Holy name of Ksheetigarbha bodhisattva
Ksheetigarbha Bodhisattva was famous throughout China,Japan and Korea
in Japan , He is known as Jizo
You will stop the spirits which disturbing you
and Sinweiy , please reread Master Chinkung Commentary on Earth Store Bodhisattva
and kumangal if you continue not to listen to us ,and keep on rearing those "thing"
you will faced their wrathness when they start growing up
Conscious also grow up, regardless of which form ,be it human or ghost .
Only setting them "free" you will stop them ruining your family ,life and career -

one - both mantra is EQUALLY POWERFUL ,so DUN COMPARE
two - If you still insist on rearing spirit , chanting ANY mantra also no use
u must understand the function of mantra
It serves as a purification practice as mantra is the enlighten words from the Bodhisattva .but if a light bulb with soiled bulb surface ,how can it be expected to glow brightly
Last time Di xian Venerable have a lady who come to take the 5 precepts .The lady on the precepts of Sexual Misconduct stop the venerable
"Master ,can I dun take this precepts as my work is related to this area?"
"No"
upon asking ,the lady revealed she work in a prostitute house ,where her job is uh-umm .
Master Di Xian told her
"The resolve of taking this precepts is to prevent you from continue in the cycles of Samsara due to sexual misconduct carnal lust
With Tears rolling down from her eyes , she gladfully answered yes and she give up her job and practice the Noble teaching of the Buddha

u need to understand deeper into wat it really mean. one word "xiao4" covers the Entire part of the whole sutra. it's the essence.

the word "xiao4" left a deep impression, as i even joted/translated wat i heard from MCK regarding "xiao4" around Oct 31, 2003!
The whole idea is being filial, respectful and faithful to one
there's more:-
teacher (if not the fewer the better). If it coincides with His
teaching, I accept, if not I reject. Filiality, be it parent or
teacher is the root of all achievement. It is also a form of
restriction to us against desire. It's not that other teachings are
not good. The thing is about rooting the basics and getting the root
correct. When one had that abilities of differentiating good and
evil, then you can go to learn about other things, if not one can be
easily move by desires. This is the ancient method of Chinese
teachings. Another word, too many teachers can be confusion.
You know how Master Chin Kung did when he seek a teacher, Master Li.
Within the first 5 years he had to follow a strict regulations.
Firstly is to listen only to Master Li's teachings, other then that,
he is not allow to listen to other teachers' teaching. Secondly,
without Master Li's permission, he is not allow to read other
teachers books. Thirdly, whatever Master Chin Kung had learned in the
past, all are to forgotten. From these restrictions, Master Chin Kung
had felt that his 6 consciousnesses had been purified. From such a
purification, listening to dharma talks develop insights. Within a
few years time, there's a sign of improvement, so Master Chin Kung
added another 5 years. Now, not even the 8 winds can move his
samadhi. Furthermore, when he read other's peoples' book, listen to
conventional ideas, everything is seen as they truly are.
The root of Buddhism understanding is filialty. Filial also to the
path of enlightenment.

But people will teach them bad stuff or they will see bad stuff and learn along the way
Currently keeping them is to let them gain merits for rebirth as they cannot go for rebirth since they are not "born" nor "dead"
They are stuck in this world
So those archans, ajahn, A.C. will help them by creating a bucha/amulet/statue so that they will reside in them as a body since they don't have a body in this world
In return the spirits will assist in the owners till the time for their rebirth comes -

i thought is people keep them and help them gain merits then after that let them go rebirth like this only? -
