Hi everyone! I am turning 30 this year, and am gradually realizing that I am at different life stages of my peers (i.e. friends I used to study with).
They are either married without kids, married with kids, single with BF or single without a BF but not really enjoying their life trying new things. Personally, there is nothing wrong with their life, because I am not here to critic. I am here to meet people who are at the same or similar life stage as me.
I am at the life stage whereby I am young (or I like the idea that I am still young!), well-educated, have a very successful career that pays me well, have the time and ability to try different things, ranging from going away for vacations (sometimes alone, sometimes with friends) at least once a month, to picking up new hobbies like horse-riding. Most of my (male & female) friends are foreigners and/or expats, but I am pretty sure that there are Singaporeans or maybe more foreigners, who are at the same life stage as me.
Anyone out there in this forum, who is in similar situation as me?
I don't think the 30 here in this forum refers to "age"......"waist-line" might have been more accurate.
That is very interesting, because I think the "Cult Leader" of the forum might beg to differ.

Try reading the sticky notes sometimes. I am sure there is a reason why they are sticky notes, and listed before the other postings.
That's nothing.
Anyway, enjoy your tour here.

Wow you actually read the sticky. Most don't bother at all.
We have people here who are married, attached, with kids, without kids etc but we are all still enjoying life and experiencing new things.
Being married/attached doesn't mean the end of everything and not being able to do the things you want to do or love to do :)
I'm not sure if this forum is for you but just hang around and see for yourself.
wow ..... yuppie lifestyle ......

It seems to me that a lot of people think that your fun life ends after you have a BF or getting married >.<"
Get a expat BF lah...
Elindra> True, being married and having kids doesnt mean not being able to do things you love. I guess my friends just happen to fall under that category. Hence, I am here! :)
Tare> I am at the lifestage whereby I can enjoy my life, without living on a shoe string. I am sure there are guys or ladies out there we are similar as me, and looking for people who are similiar as well. Most of my friends are foreigners, so I thought it will be good to know other Singaporeans who are also at the similiar situation as me, or more friends regardless where you are from. I have quite a lot of hobbies, so am sure it will be more fun to try it with someone than doing it alone right? Unless everyone here only post on the forum and do not step 2m away from their PC, beside toilet breaks, then I might be in the wrong forum...
Chunseah> Getting an expat bf do not solve the problem. Relationships comes and goes. Friends tend to hang around longer. In any case, I actually prefer to date a (smart) chinese guy.
i'm the guy next door.
Congrats....
