another one - woodlands to SMRT depot AMK ave 1...5am i thought just SLE-CTE-AMK Ave1... but midway he says exit lentor... it is shorter. but much shorter to worth the extra time? i counted at least 8 traffic light extra... but he is a nice chap... chatted with me... he say SMRT looking for train drivers... no need driving licence... i thought need...

Three PIE exits on this journey to International Business Park. She told me exit Bukit Timah than i think she may be taking the Adam Farrer PIE, But finally this German Pax wanted the third exit near Ngee Ann Polytechnic. According to her this will be the cheaper by using this last exit. But with those traffic lights still fare is the lowest. So, not every routes is consider the the actual route to there. Even a written complain this kind of senerio, i think. we still can be protected of our Poor Road knowledge.Do you think so?

yup, as i said, that is the shortest but not fastest... i never kena written complain b4... but i think unless it is clear cut much longer without good reason... should not get into trouble lah... for your example, not considered clear cut... ask you... say bukit panjang to raffles place how u go? many ways... if i were a pax, i will ask the cabby to just take BKE-PIE-exit CTE northwards, u turn at bradell and back to CTE-havelock... smoothest... but as a cabby, i will surely not take that cos sure kena left-right-centre from pax... most will want BKE-PIE-exit steven/thomson/or serangoon

Another from Far East Plaza to Jalan Bakar Batu. which route you think is ideal. I took u turn Scott road back to Newton than CTE exit Upper Serangoon toward PIE exit Kallang Way turn left to Jalan Bakar Batu. So what is your comments about this route recommended by me if you are my pax Guru. What is your opinion.

Bt Panjang--> Raffles Place...my preferred route : BKE>PIE>Sims Way>Nicoll Highway>Raffles Place.
FE Plaza-->Jln Bakar Batu? : my instant route : u-turn Paterson Rd(?)>Stevens Rd>PIE>Kallang Way>Lor Bakar Batu...but kin's route definitely seems shorter...but faster?, i've no clue.

Not sure where jalan bakar batu is Scotts to Kallang Way - CTE-PIE-Kallang can lah... another alternative is CTE-upper Serangoon-Macpherson

Again...FE plaza -> CTE -> PIE -> kallang way...by scotts rd is shorter than stevens rd...but going back using CTE...seems not a wise choice... have to incur high ERP ($4/5), right?

Next time, ask her, Vivo City, Harbour Front or Velo City Thomson instead of asking a yes or no question, less chance for mis-communication.
I think that they should spend money to teach taxi drivers communication skills instead of losing billions supporting foreigners.

It is , Lentor is the logical route .Not Ave 1 la , SMRT depot St 63 , AMK Industrial Park 3 .
Then Exit Yio Chu Kang from Lentor .

Depending which part of Scotts , if Royal Scotts side , go by Newton > Moulmein > Balestier > Up Serangoon Road > Macpherson .By the way , it's Lorong Bakar Batu .

Bt Panjang to raffles place... i always avoid upper bt timah unless me near bt panjang plaza side... if nearer to BKE side, it's BKE for me...

If along AYE, this route viable?...AYE > ECP > exit marina station rd > central blvd > raffles place.

yo jonp, that one also better ask the pax first. It is longer. Usually pax will prefer AYE-CTE-Exit Merchant. When u start driving?

still has to depend on traffic situation in the morning , tends to be jam . Up Bt Timah , after Hillview , all the way to AYE , smooth . -

if base on my shift .... BKE > PIE > Eng Neo > Dunearn > Farrer Road > Queensay > Side road into Striling Road from the campus side .Why not Lornie Road U-turn ? Wow lan , my shift that time sure kena jam upside down .
If day shift , anytime after 9.30am , it's Lornie Road U-turn .

Like ALN had said , if Cashew side , it's Petir Road into dairy Farm Road , BKE .
Depend my mood , Up Bt Timah > Clementi Road > Commonwealth Ave west > towards Ghim Moh , Tanglin Halt side , i would say , cheapest . Cheaper than BKE i would say .

Maybe this could be better, by this way....No Highway. From Bukit Panjang, toward Clementi Road straight exit Dover Road, North Buona Vista, Commonwealth Ave, Queensway, Stirling Road. Ever try this before from your homeground.
