Every year CNY is TD HUAT Time.
This year (2015) with so many 3rd party Apps, TD more HUAT $$$.
Taxi Apps "X" offer CNY Ang Bao incentives package.
From 18 Feb to 20 Feb, Their members daily (0000 Hrs to 2359Hrs) completed
>> 8 Jobs got $28 Ang Bao
>> 18 Jobs got $88 Ang Bao
>> 28 Jobs gpt $168 Ang BaoTaxi Apps "Z" Pao a few hundred of their members to standby just to take their Z Call.
Z Company Pao these members to Standby for Morning and Night two different time slot, each time slot for 6 hours.
These few hundreds Z members during that 6 hours standby MUST take every single call allocate to them, And if they can't make $300 sales (Gross) during these 6 hours standby time, Z will top up to $300
Example Member : Ah Wan standby for Z on �一 6pm to 12 MN
total take 18 calls But only have $200 Sales,
then Z company will paid Ah Wan the different of $100.According to Ah Wah, he stanby for Z from 除夕夜 till �四 the Morning time Slot.
Everyday 6 hours he Guaranteed have $300, 5 days $300 x 5 => $1500Beside that all these call took during standby period also countered for monthly incentive package,so for 5 days he at least can take 18 calls x 5 days => 90 Calls ==>> $900/=
So from 除夕夜 till �四 5 days he can make $1500 + $900 ==>> $2400.
And Ah Wah already engaged a Super Relief to drive from �五 to ��, Everyday he Lugi $50 on rental, 6 days he Lugi $300.
But these 6 days Ah Wah can song song with his Bak Bak in Batam.
Off course Company W and
Company Y also have different CNY incentive for their members.

Biz also started to huat since Monday. It is now like weekend, everwhere got pax flagging, waving.
But sad thing is, TDs can only make so little because of the time required to do a job - one trip at a time. We are not like bak kwa sellers, can sell so many at one time and huat big.
Anyway, Gong Xi Fa Cai.... huat ah

Huat also must work and drive harder mah, unlike others, can just relax at home during the holiday, money still flow in. Like Tonite, can huat until ki siao, but more importantly, if you are celebrating CNY, hv a dinner and time with your family then go out and drive. Wishing all a happy CNY. knn cheapo pax quietly squeeze 4 person behind total 5 person plus Infront one
lucky I turn behind n see
never even bother to ask me also just diam diam try their luck local somemore
then got the cheek to tell me nearby only can la
I said nearby only then take 2 cab la lol
not happy all go down then I say bye bye n took my next call

Ya a lot of noob pax. I put busy liao alight my wife and wait for her buy things at 7/11. Then this whole family run towards me open my door. Kan them lah. Dunno how to see BUSY sign? Then a lot I notice waiting for cab until face smelly also dun want to call. Lol

Aiya, chinese new year, dun curse others lah, like it or not, all these are our foods, and as you hv rightly shown, you all can ask them to drop off. We must see thing from different angles to appreciate a situation, there are positive and negative ways of viewing, but most of the time, we failed to look at the positive side and concentrated more on the negative side. Like bro hammer said, the whole family coming into his taxis as he put on Busy, postively, there are many poor or average singaporeans who only take taxis on a new year whereby they might spent abit more, and also they might be having a difficult time in getting a taxi, not even call can get, lastly, they might be late for a visiting or shows. Let think in such situation and put ourselve in their shoe, then we said, sorry, sir/miss, I am busy unable to ferry you, sorry. But if you want to add more, then you might said, I am going to XXXX, if on the way, then can, if not, sorry. And like our bro getcarter (Jimmy Carter?), most people like to be together, we might think that they are cheapo, but the reason could be they all want to travel together as a family, but of course, that is not possible, just tell them nicely, that insurance is at stake and it is a traffic offence, please call another taxis, otherwise I am unable to ferry you guys. As for quarreling and fighting, see many liao..go once, while travelling, gf and bf quarrel and fighting, bf open door at expressway, limpek immediately stop and ask them to go down, so dangerous.

At this time, we all can sing song and laughed at smelly pax, after CNY, smelly pax may laugh at us as when he or she wave, 2 to 3 cabs chiong toward him. As I said, some poorer family with childrens only got a time to have the luxury to take a singapore taxis, parent would had saved for this moment and grandparents need a visit to relatives...we should serve them better than serving those at CQ or BQ, because they are like us, earning a hard living in Singapore. You can notice it by the kids looking inside your taxis, the mdt, the view, and so on. And it is alway my greatest pleasure to serve them so as to bring happiness in them.

Maybe someone wants you to enjoy a Happy Chinese New Year, my mother use to tell me...bowah...unless you are very poor, then no choice, hv to drive on 1st adn 2nd day of chinese new years, if not better dun drive lah, ah bu paid the rental for you, because once you drive, you forever hv to slog in your life. Maybe your ah bu is right after all. Why don't post earlier before CNY so more of us don't drive on day 1 & 2? Now too late, luckily I did not drive on day 1 and drove a bit on day 2 to cover day 1 loss.
Anyway, appreciate your thoughts on looking from the other side. Thanks. You are spot on, of coruse. I never refused any pax (unless already on call or urgent matter on busy) because I always assume they need the service. Even if go Woodlands or Sungei Kadut late late at night, also zhai.

You happy go lucky type, happy new year to you!! To be frank, CNY is a time we truly pick up local Singaporeans family more than those chao ang moh and kwan lan ah neh neh. As a TDs from the 90s, I can feel the difference of pax, previously, paxs are mostly locals, things are cheaper, today, nearly 1/2 are foreigners, so called Foreign trashes, locals hv slowly subsided, maybe due to high cost of living, left only those ah lian and ah bengs from night spots. Singaporeans are thrifty or cheapo at times is not they want to be like this, it is because living is getting expensive here, I believe we and our family at times also practice thrifty in order to save for rainy days

I agree most of these cb pax dun take taxi. After visiting ex colleague at redhill area pick up a family wanted to go TPY ok loh on the way chin cai lah. Bo lui still yaya, one look know is those once in a blue moon take taxi type. Going to TPY from Merah Central. Pax tell me go by Queensway Lornie. Ok I ask him TPY lorong what he tell me 7. So ok loh he tell me Queensway Lornie so I presume Bradell then go in by Lor 8 correct? Then that cb yell at me after I pass by the Adam Road PIE bridge, ask me why bo take PIE!!! KNNBCCB I stop at the SICC junction chase the whole family down. I fark him upside down tell me Quwwnsway Lornie just now haven't reach Lornie he KPKB SMLJ!!! Then he realize I hot liao then quicly apologise.
Then reach liao $14 fare chut nets. I kan him second round. Got 4-5 ang bao in his hand bo $14? 2nd day CNY want to chut nets make me tulan? Then quickly sorry sorry uncle open red packet pay me.
That's why not that I dun want to help these cheapo but some really knnbccb yaya.
Reason why I dun drive because CNY knn everywhere from car wash to eateries all prices increase. Only taxi bo increase also bo morning peak hour drive kam lan. Let them rot lah.

Aiya, drive taxi only, no need to get so emotional, but of course if pax shout, you also shout lah, if pax whack, sure I whack one...where got give people whack and then tiam tiam, like last time, got one buddy kenna ah neh whack....police...end up whole forum... Asshole paxs meet assholes cabbies, also good, at least can teach that asshole pax a lesson, then forever he see TD also must respect abit. Sometimes, we must thanks brother like Hammer for doing to job for us. He seems like buay song with everything, from paxs to cabs to cab companies to road to Q to govt.

No problem with nets. In fact I love nets. But the pax make me buay song liao so kan. Dunno the way give wrong direction still want to yell at me act yaya. That's why I kan. If normal circumstances I gladly accept.

Most pax are good with TDs as they know we are earning a living. However there are some pax who just think TDs owe them. Deserved to be kan.

Ya I agree most pax ok one. Like some who need to send kids to childcare then to work they will ask nicely I will gladly serve them. If those yaya type then I will chase them down. Buy ok lah only a small handful nasty pax.
