this restricted hours thing only applies to Singapore la. you can take your OPC and drive anywhere around the world 24x7 without any problems, malaysia included.Originally posted by Ponders:so i was thinking if you drive without those coupons in malaysia. will the police like stop you and ask where the coupons are? i seriously doubt it because they ain't empowered to enforce singapore laws.
Well, what can I say, some smart malaysian police and some dumb singaporean driver likes to makan together.Originally posted by AF2005:the road tax paid is only for singapore roads. however some very smart malaysia police may stop and ask for some kopi money. its a tradition practice there to stop singapore cars for lunch and dinner.
FYI, it may be better to accept the summons than pay kopi money. Although the Malaysian police will tell you the fine is RM300, that is the max. Usually, the fine is only around RM70-100 (depending on how fast you were going).Originally posted by wbucket:Well, what can I say, some smart malaysian police and some dumb singaporean driver likes to makan together.
Anyway, alreay got lots of incident of Singaporean driver giving Kopi money but still got summon anyway. So be smart!![]()

Confirm! But you know, this world worked on the supply and demand chain. As long as there are dumb Singaporean drivers who are willing to supply, there will be Smart Malaysian police who demand for them.Originally posted by sbst275:No matter how smart, such acts are not tolerated
It is usually the Southern Malaysia police that know of the OPC that they would try to be funnyOriginally posted by Dijon:I have been driving my weekend car into Malaysia (4-6 times a year) for the last 2.5 years without any problems. Well I've never had issue driving through Johor or JB.Originally posted by sbst275:It is usually the Southern Malaysia police that know of the OPC that they would try to be funny
The Northern or Central based Malaysian police not many do know
Ya I wonder how funny can they be? Cause red plate has nothing to do with Malaysia.Originally posted by sbst275:It is usually the Southern Malaysia police that know of the OPC that they would try to be funny
