  Today, I took Siemens C651 set 215/216 from Tiong Bahru to Bedok and it was using old annoucements! Thank god! This shows that 229/230 is not the only C651 with old annoucements. So I took this chance to record down the audio of the entire journey for everyone to hear the old annoucements. Please tell me a good website to upload my file and I will upload it when I have time.

  Morning: Tanah Merah  Redhill - 005/006 first refurbished train

               Tiong Bahru  Bedok - 215/216 old annoucements

   

  Afternoon: Tanah Merah  Raffles Place 015/016 refurbished new annoucements

  Raffles Place  Bishan - 055/056 unrefurbished old annoucements

  Bishan  Raffles Place - 007/088 refurbished new annoucements

  Raffles Place  Bedok - 027/028  refurbished new annoucements

  215/216 EB use old announcements. WB use new. NSL new announcements.
  229/230 is the only all old announcement C651 left. 213/214 use old announcement for NB. the rest new.

  My night rides today:

  • EWL: Tanah Merah  Outram Park (047/048 refurb)
  • NEL: Outram Park  Harbour Front (72004)
  • NEL: Harbour Front  Outram Park (72026)
  • EWL: Outram Park  Bedok (341/342 C751B)

  Narrative:

  • Haven't been on an unrefurb for some time
  • There again! this time a C751B with old annoucements! I rerecorded everything as it is clearer and louder! I love C751Bs but they are hardly found on EWL
  • LEDs and LCD TVs on C751B 341/342 turned off. 
  • Will upload another day.
