  With regards to your email, we seek to explain that StarHub is using
  a transparent proxy server. The use of a proxy server is a
  requirement for all Internet Service Providers in Singapore.
  
  StarHub does not restrict the downloading of the files. This
  restriction is set by the administrator of the server which StarHub
  has no control over. You may wish to feedback this to the
  administrator of the server regarding this restriction.
  
  If you have any questions on StarHub Digital Cable and MaxOnline
  services, please email to this address or fax in to 6725 1603.

  Is it true? I hate proxy servers. Cannot download from Rapidshare!
  Is there anyway to have a dedicated IP instead of sharing.

  Yes. It's required by IDA (maybe I'm wrong, not too sure about the laws).

  Hmmm sooo the only solution is : Choose an xpensive plan where lesser ppl subscribe to ... and you can happily dl all the files from rapid
  
  Or you can complain to da government lor ...

  For who wants to use Rapidshare... don't bother using anonymous servers... Rapidshare has software that detects them and bypass them. It will show the IP address given by your ISP and you still have to wait...
