Problem with LED for Caps/Scroll key for HP laptop

      Hello, i'm having problems with LED for Caps and Scroll Lock buttons.

      When Caps Lock is on, the LED at the side should trigger but it doesn't light up.

      The same problem applies for the Scroll Lock.

      However, my Num Lock shares the same button and LED as my Scroll Lock, and to active my Num Lock is by pressing FN (Function) key and the Scroll Lock.

      The LED lights up when Num Lock is on.

      This is weird as the Num Lock shares the same LED as my Scroll Lock, this trick ensures that the LED is not faulty.

      Can mayi or anyone help me out here?

      To add on the caps, scroll lock and num lock are all functioning properly.

      like when i hit caps, it shows on/off

      however the problem only lies with the LED not coming on.

      is there any thing that caused me to trigger it off like any settings or what so ever?

      I just wanna break down the problem.

      could it be motherboard failure or BIOS chip or settings?

      Judging from what you say, your laptop should be a HP pavilion series.

      For the scroll lock.

      you will have to press fn+ scroll lock.

      Pressing scroll lock alone will not light the led up.

       

       

      Pls provide your Laptop's model and series. thx.

      Okay mine is HP Pavilion dv6500 Notebook PC

      Then what about my caps lock? how come no lights?

       

      Could it be failure in motherboard?

      The led @ the scroll lock works right?

       

      Most prob, the light burned out.

      NO it will not lead to any mb failure.
