Hi guys,
Its time for me to contribute something positive back to this forum.
I still can remember when I encountered problems & needed IT expert's help, many regular contributors here gave me a helping hand with many good pointers, appreciate that.
ok, looks like so far nobody has mentioned about Starhub MaxInfinity Broadband Plan yet.
Recently I just subscribed to this MaxInfinity Plan, it has to be applied via online thru their website, no phone call will be entertain, within 3-5 working days, a staff will call you to verify the application & go thru the process with you.
Was told that Starhub required minimum 10 working days to process the application, and all in all, it took slightly more than 2 weeks to get it up & running in full throttle
The day when the Starhub guy came to our premises to install the gateway for us, we have to pay an installation fee of $53+ on the spot, and upon first billing, we also have to pay an activation fees of $34+.
Actually I told them I can install the hardware myself but too bad, Starhub insists that its their policy to arrange someone to install the gateway at customer's premises thus paying the installation fee of $53+ is an extra expenditure for the consumer.
Upon the installation, I still have to wait for another approx 24hrs-48hrs for the technician from the backend room to do the connection, its damn frustrating cos I've been waiting eagerly to try this new toy for some time now.
Finally after waiting for more than 24hrs, bingo the show starts now. The speed is amazingly fast, you can definitely see the difference compare to your normal broadband, with fibre connection, you can see which culprit (your favourite sites server) always limit your download speed thus slow in loading the entire webpage.
So far I'm quite happy with what I've now, unlike last time, have to call Starhub every two months to complain about the slow surfing connection, worst still, can't even surf during peak hours on normal days & weekends.
Thanks buddy & enjoy your fibre connection, happy surfing !
lol...nobody mention doesnt mean nobody have what.
I enjoy my M1 fibre very long le.
Thanks for the insight.
With regards to the speed, pricing per month and promotions ?
As you can see I'm lazy to get over (and navigate) starhub's website.

During the promo period, I actually opt for download speed of 100mpbs with an upload speed of 50mpbs, $68 p/m without the free gift (Cisco Camcoder 8GB), with free gift, you have to pay $74 p/m.
There is another package (hubbing pack) that you need to bundle 3 items into one, your phone, TV & internet subscription, hubbing package another pricing, can't remember already.
Their promo can be quite complicated, don't really understand how it works, just like last time when California Gym just started out, they have tons of promo with different subscription packages.
tks.
