    • When you pull back your arm, do you pull back all the way?

I have 2 different advice now, lifeguard tells me to pull down all the way back and then raise elbow to strike water.

Coach says to pull 1/2 or 3/4 then raise elbow and strike water.

      ~.~

      Anyone?

      this is how i interpreted.

lifeguard - was just trying to tell you the best and most efficient method. do it once, do it good and its better than doing half fark strokes many times.

coach - was trying to get you comfortable with the main stroke movements. i think he'll fine tune your strokes when you are more proficient by asking you to pull all the way back when you look more comfortable.

    • depends ifs its for racing ba... for racing i think not all the way...cos if u pull all the way back u tend to swing arm wider like windmill... your elbow is suppose to be higher than hand if u pull all the way i find it difficult to do... u suppose to have that weaving motion as your hand hit water, u dun have to dig deep cause tats waste of energy....
