so, mongolio and croatia are freaks? becos mongolia got a olympic gold and croatia is a soccer powerhouse despite small population?
it has to do with your national sports policy, stupid. if singapore do not have a pro-sports policy, nothing will lift singapore out of the doldrums.
Wat do the other countries do to improve their sports then ? Did the mongolia spend millions to cultivate sportsmen ? Do Croatia built sporting schools and promote sports among the people ? Surprisingly, the reason why their sports is good is because their economy is not tat good and the only way out of poverty is to play soccer.
just to give you a positive spin so you don't think i am anti-singapore thru' and tru'. i do think singapore will breed a local world champ in the next 10 years via the sports school program. in fact, we already have world beaters in bowling.
I agree with u. However I believe they must have a good player to spar with to improve their standard and the fastest way to do tat is to import players from overseas initially
