EDUCATION Minister Ng Eng Hen on Saturday cautioned Singaporeans that by voting for the opposition, they may unintentionally weaken the Government and perhaps even cause a change in Government.
He urged voters to realise this because 'freak results' can happen, as they have in other countries.
Speaking during a walkabout in Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC on Saturday morning, he said the system already allows for alternative voices in Parliament.
If Singaporeans go to the May 7 polls thinking that more opposition would help further their interests, the outcome could be 'dangerous', warned Dr Ng.
'Can a weak government deliver to him better transportation, better homes, better healthcare? And if you vote just to weaken the government, how can that help you, your own interests?' he added.

What is he talking about?
The act of voting more opposition is by itself telling the government that they have come up short and people want change.
Are they talking for the sake of talking?

-
I think he means that a strong government can pass all sorts of terrible policies and still not be held accountable for anything.
Makes their job so much easier.
Yes, get out of my elite uncaring face.

By voting for you, we have more crowded bus and MRT, taxi fare increase, higher housing price and expensive healthcare.
So, does that translate to better government ?
The only thing I know is that I have a bunch of highly paid individuals who did not deliver for the past few years talking big for the past few weeks.
Especially a few that have commited honest mistakes.

then lets see the cards for the opposition.
are there any aces there?
how bout queens n kings etc.
u need to see whats up on the cards u have for opposition before u call the deal!
they could be partially correct if they get insane ex-scholars calling to stop manufacturing industries in spore.like my manufacturing industries in last job....all robots in a basketball court sized factory.all totally aircon n very nice everywhere.all assembling stuff by thesmselves with no human contacts.
in 1 year...a small section like mine produces $0.5 billioin per year.there are like 4 or 5 other sections producing same or more income and another company a few floors below similar to mine.
so manufacturing industries phasing out is not an idea..it is in fact an act of sabotage by the ex scholar within SDP ranks.he should be removed...he could be insane even.

we like to turn the table around this time.
u servants need to work much harder for the money

normally its weaker gov, weaker citizens, poorer gov, poorer people.u can turn things around just cross fingers the oppositions are good.
actually its predicted and analyzed that if pap fall... spore will weaken for at least 6 months before the oppositions ram up full sppeeeed ahead n know the ropes of the trade as the pap might not be keen to transfer plenty things to opposition. from finances to business to plans and investments.
