May I know what is the diff between Windows XP Pro and Home??
Which one should I use for my PC?
How much are the original selling for? -
One has the "home" or personal word on its boot screen and screensaver, the other has "professional". Other than these, I have been enable to find a significant difference between either.

XP Professional lets you have more control of your computer, while Home has a limited scope.
For example, there is no remote assistance for XP Home. Remote assistance is a program which lets a user to ask for help from other users. You will give permission to other users to control your computer, much like a hacker controlling your computer. The only difference is remote assistance is legal as the person helping you is asking for permission to help you fix problems. -

for home u can choose to use pro or home ............
for company use pro .. coz need network domain all this -
pro is better..but if you using for home to play games this type home will suffice..

i think the selling Price for Windows XP Professional is around S$230(sim lim sqaure)
i seen on the advertisment last week on newspaper that 1 company is selling windows XP Professional for S$170.(They claim is original)
Home Edition is around S$160(Estimated Price, Sim Lim Square)
hmm... I heard from my friend that his computer crash after updating his Windows XP home Edition to Service Pack 2 but no problem on Pro version -

Remote Assistance feature in both XP Home and Pro., is a known flaw that is hackable.

actually...the main difference of pro and home is that...pro allow users to join domain...especially those companies who have their own intranet...you join the company domain and can communicate within it and oso download files...
