You know what is a proxy server used for?Originally posted by ^tamago^:singnet not enough IP's so using proxy servers...
Do you have a router at home, if yes i wouldn't be surprised that you said such thingOriginally posted by ceecookie:I wonder why we singaporeans are sharing a single IP address?
unlike other countries why cant we have seperate IP address for each user?
according to sources we are sharing 202.156.6.54
ohOriginally posted by MosPyramid:Nope, how can so many people share one ip?
This ip is from the service provide called starhub one. START>RUN>CMD "tracert 202.156.6.54"
It is almost impossible for 4 million people to share one home right? This ip is maybe shared among your home, and your router assign you and other computer a different DHCP but using only one external ip: 202.156.6.54
Oh my! Can't believe anyone still take wikipedia so serious nowadays. Hello! Anyone can write in wiki!Originally posted by ceecookie:oh
anyway from source:
This IP is shared by ALL users on MaxOnline, StarHub Cable Vision Ltd, i.e. all users in Singapore (4,326,000 inhabitants according to Wikipedia) using this ISP, which is Singapore's largest broadband ISP

oh got it...i do understand already....hah sry for the incovinenceOriginally posted by MosPyramid:Aiyo.. you don't understand the message meh?
This ip is a common ip for starhub maxonline user only. Singtel and pacific uses different ip.
That message is because many people are vendalizing wikipedia with that ip, but since it is greatly rotated, therefore unable to ban.
You know about you ip? It is your isp lease to you one, not yours. Therefore after a days or weeks it will changed. You can't get a permanent ip without paying. That ip i suspect it rotates very commonly around starhub user, therefore if it is banned, it might caused great inconvenience to starhub user
No, you are wrong.Originally posted by chenc:Oh my! Can't believe anyone still take wikipedia so serious nowadays. Hello! Anyone can write in wiki!![]()

Ummm..... The problem here is how reliable it can be. Can you totally trust it or not. And the answer is no becuase, like you say, people will vandalize.Originally posted by MosPyramid:No, you are wrong.
Wikipedia is very useful indeed.
Just like a art piece, people wiil appreciate and people will vandalized it. Not because it is drawn by someone lousy meaning it is not a good art piece. Same as people vandalized therefore you can't see it is a good art piece.
I only consider online source but never base on them, except some news websites. I usually do reaserch with Microsoft Encarta and Encyclopaedia Britannica. Both are throughly checked before publishing and carries law bonds, meaning if they make a mistake in their infomation you can sue them for compensation. I guess this is reliable enough.Originally posted by MosPyramid:Interesting people post interesting things marhz
Ages no people find me interesting le...haha..
I am supporting Wikipedia because I get a lot of useful information from it. My work needs it. You can said you get something better from some other website, but how can you so sure it is the fact?
Nevertheless, I will not only check one website for its' fact. I google it! also. All of the time, the information matches and Wikipedia even provides more detail explanation.![]()
Hmm... Britannica encyclopaedia I don't know, but Microsoft Encarta is degraded since 2002.Originally posted by chenc:I only consider online source but never base on them, except some news websites. However, i must agree with you that wiki, though has loads of rubbish, can contain true and based information as well.
2002? Have you tried the 2006 Premium Edition? I guess notOriginally posted by MosPyramid:Hmm... Britannica encyclopaedia I don't know, but Microsoft Encarta is degraded since 2002.
Even it contains a lot of additional features like world map, education game, etc. But the area it is covering is confined. For example, you searched a country in Encarta, it can gives you lots and lots of picture and a lot of information about it. It focus a lot. However its area is not wide enough.
Nah, from 2002 onwards people doesn't really have faith in Encarta anymore. For example, I did a search in Encarta psd, return a lame result: Social Democratic Party, PortugalOriginally posted by chenc:2002? Have you tried the 2006 Premium Edition? I guess not
Britannica is the best
Wheres your source for saying people have no faith? Or you just though saying it will help in your arguement? Nevermind.Originally posted by MosPyramid:Nah, from 2002 onwards people doesn't really have faith in Encarta anymore. So never mind, I search again in full using power spectral density, it show me articles on power instead.
Wikipedia is editable because the latest technology, math formula, etc is updated constantly. It will never depreciate like Encarta does.
What if you at you wits end? Online sources are limited, Encarta all those doesn't have enough information? Only wikipedia have, even it is baseless and wrote by some unknown guy. But it is definately worth a try right?![]()

I have similiar problems. Like i usually go to websites to request for serial numbers. But they always give me reply saying I am not allowed to request more than 50 times a day. Funny thing is I never actually request at all that dayOriginally posted by alexkusu:dont be surprise wen u dl frm senspace n get the msg "the bandwith for your country has been reached, try again next week"![]()
Look whos talking.Originally posted by MosPyramid:You retard or what? Can't even understand what I mean stfu lar.
Read properly! Use your eyes luke! After using your eyes use your head to think, not butt.
I searched in http://encarta.msn.com/encnet/refpages/search.aspx?q=psd
you noob!
Please go and ask some professionals if they are relying more on wiki or encarta. I have no obligation to explain further to you why Encarta is depreciated, so search in your Encarta and try to look for the result.
You are lame to even make a screenshot. Grow up please.
