Bomb Shelter in a HDB will still remain after bombing in war

I heard that bomb shelter in those new HDB units are designed to withstand bombing in war time (therefore, the name as bomb shelter).
Is that true that after bombing, the whole HDB will collapse with the single column of bomb shelter from the first floor till the highest floor remain in the bombing scene?
That will be an amazing view. Then people will start open up the bomb shelter doors and discover that they couldn't get out of the shelter as there is no more staircase and need wait helicopter to come and rescue them.
This is excellent design that will save numerous lives if, unfortunately, war happens and crazy enemy drop bombs at us.

I think it will crumble along with the whole building, thick concrete and steel coffin.

juz the bomb shelter left standing??!? i seriously doubt that it is structure-ly possible... the collasping building will put a pulling effect esp on the upper floors and will cause the column of bomb shelter to bend slightly in the process of collasping... this will put the middle portion in alot of structural stress and the column pan juz crack up and collaspe too... juz my point of view...

since when the one in your home is a bomb shelter?
its just a room stronger than any found in your house to prevent you from getting hit by shrapnels.
bomb shelters are usually underground, found below your void deck if there is any.

Household shelters are designed to withstand conventional bombing and are located such that there should be no direct impact on the shelter walls. Even if the building is bombed, it is highly unlikely that the whole structure will collapse on itself; if u look at building demolition, charges have to be deliberately placed at calculated locations to weaken the structure enough for the whole building to collapse on itself. In fact the household shelters themselves serve to reinforce the structural integrity of the core of the building.
But of course all of that is in theory... so best not to piss off some other country too much.

Well I can only say this about Singapore's planning -->
Someone asked URA about the bukit timah road cutting off the resevoir from the nature reserve hence animals can't get water.
The URA answer they have a solution.
To build a bridge.
When asked again if the bridge has shelters, the URA said yes.
Note that they are claiming that animals will climb the bridge across to the resevoir and back. ^^ -

I doubt those structures would withstand a direct hit from a shell or a bunker buster... Why the hell would the enemy bomb civvie targets anyway? Wouldn't it be a violation of the geneva convention?

Enemy will not waste their bomb on civilian.

for most people
