Have u considered the specialization of business he's in? Or perhaps he put in alot effort in Uni?
wadeva it is, being a NTU student now, i can tell u it's not easy. Either what i said above is true, or the standard has been raised over the years. -

my friend repeat O levels, went poly. yr 1 avg grades, next 2 yrs above avg have Ads. in NTU EEE finished off with 2nd upper. he work alot harder for all I know. -
A B B can go cambridge? Anyway I'm in J1 this year. ppl here state O levels can get into SMU skipping JC and Poly.
even with ABE, willing to pay $$, University sure accept you.
if this is a fact, why so many ppl complain?
Local Uni not asking half a million, just asking tens of thousands.

Get scholarship but if unable to, then study locally cos cheaper.
