any la..Originally posted by eagle:Wafer fab also has a lot of products

etc
the market and demand is different for each product.Originally posted by The return:any la..
but prices for all these as compared to a few years ago is dirt cheap nowOriginally posted by eagle:the market and demand is different for each product.
Demand for one of them going down doesn't mean demand for another product is down. It all depends on the direction, diversification and goals of the company.
For example, no matter how well or bad the economy is doing, whenever you buy a computer, you will need to buy RAM. Whenever you buy a handphone, there is an embedded IC chip. Whenever you need to store things on a thumbdrive, there is always flash technology.
Almost every industry will require some sort of semiconductor products nowadays. It is almost like one of the pillars of any industry. How many companies can survive without a computer?
In addition to that, as time goes on, the development cost per unit of RAM gets cheaper. (I understand how because I worked as an intern before in a semi-con company)Originally posted by I_love_my_toilet:but prices for all these as compared to a few years ago is dirt cheap now
