  On Wednesday, I was in Chinatown so I went to Tai Chong Kok to buy nian gao. The people there said "sold out!" and told me to come back again on Thursday around 8-9am. I woke up late and went there at 11am, and again I was told "sold out!".

  I tried to wake up early on Friday and Saturday but couldn't make it!  "early" means 6plus a.m...

  Finally today I managed to wake up early. And I GOT MY NIAN GAO.

  My mom says it's the "very traditional" kind of nian gao. Personally I find it yummier than most nian gao bought elsewhere...

  Tai Chong Kok is selling it until Tuesday, so maybe you can go and buy before you head to work tomorrow.
