i lost my bank book and debit card statements.

these items were in an old furniture but we call some banglahs to move these for us recently as we're purchasing new ones.

now we can't locate these banglahs (not their fault as we didn't check the furniture thoroughly before asking them to shift).

i plan to go to the bank to report the loss.

most urgent is the debit card statements cos' on it, my debit card number if fully shown (all digits).

i check my account today and money's still all intact.

if there's anything else i need to do, pls let me know.

also, is it possible to request to bank to change my debit card number?

serious pls, i'm very worried now.

The bank oughta have a 24-hour hotline or something.

Go and find out from the bank's website. Call them ASAP to report the loss and to take necessary security measures.

close the acct, cancel all the cards

open another acct

terminate the card, explain to them and see whether they can waive the 'replacement' fee for u...

yeah, i lost 2 bank books (one is POSB and the other OCBC).

the debit card statements is for the POSB MasterDebit Card.

POSB got any 24-hour hotline?

POSB is under DBS so its 1800 111 1111

Did the bangalas steal it to withdraw money? btw, out of curiousity do pple still use bankbooks to withdraw money?

those old folks are some of them..

(1) Bank book cannot withdraw money unless you go face to face at the teller.

(2) Devit card cannot work as an atm w/o your pin so don't worry.

(3) Ask your bank to freeze your Debit Card so no transaction can be done and make a new one.

Simple as 1,2,3

replacement of lost bank book need to pay $15 i think

aiyo, simply call the bank to freeze your account and report loss immediately... they shld issue you a new debit card with a new number and terminate the lost one.

go POSB ask for new one. bring IC or birth cert.

haiz.....still not sure how much the debit card replacement cost.....anyone knows?
