IF they showed the paralympics on TV, would you watch it?
paralympics in general. let's not care about the country it's in ![]()
uhh.. no...
after the Spanish cheating incident, even less...
i guess i'm cynical and jaded because the IOC has lost all credibility with their corruption, greed and worse..
the event i watch is not available in paralympics.
i wanna watch paralympics synchronised diving.
it's really a lost missing the opening ceremony of paralymics, it's also amazing, after the big show of olympic opening, it's really something you should never miss, Zhang yi mou adapt the traditional way of showing chinese traditional culture, which is quite common to chinese, but embraced by west, the paralympics, adapt anther way, more modern, the dancing, the costume, the music, more international. at least attract me, among all the event in this year, paralymics is still the biggest shot, in the number of people participate and the amaze stage dancing.
I hate all the free channel are unable to show sport activities...It seem like only you are rich than can enjoy sport and like sport
Prior to this, I would not pay too much attention to Paralympics.
But now, I realize it is actually quite touching, and has a nice message.
I think for now on, and for the next Paralympics, I would be more interested to watch it.
I recommend this video for you, Paralympics opening ceremony:

I am a little upset that the opening ceremony was not shown. Seems people has little regard for paralympics.
For the sake of not offending anyone, Mediacorp decided not to boardcast the Paralympics.

Sure or not it is for reason of not offending. Handicaps are human too.

Who the hell told you that......
Most ridiculous rumour I've heard. The most likely reason is that they think it is not a good business decision.
But anyway, click the link I wrote above, you guys can watch it on YouTube.
It seems more lax compared to Olympics. Many videos on YouTube not taken down.

okay.. even in Paralympics, there's cheating..
how come local winner only gets 25k but ah tiong get 750k for olympics? handicap kena looked down on? pcb
I have access to satellite dish and was able to catch CCTV-1 signal for the paralympics opening ceremony.
It is really a moving and touching event to see the determination and spirt of so many performers and athletes gathering for the meet.
The touching moments of the olympics are the "Ballet" dance by the girl who lost her leg in Szechuan Earthquake

The lighting of the Paralympics flame was truly a moving moment showcasing the human spirit,
Hou bin, a wheelchair bound paralympian, pulleyed himself from the ground to the torch to light up the cauldron.

China top the list and England is second.
Think a Singaporean paralympian won the bronze for equestrian.
Is the government going to pay $250,000 to this bronze medal winner?

Dressage for the Singaporean.
And they're showing the Paralympics on Channel 5. Opening ceremony for it is now in fact. Not sure if it's live though.
