is there medicine or a drug to curb mood swings, depression

  Not referring to chronic or long term symptoms, but just mild emotional or depression problems which occur from day to day and varies.

  Valium and Prozac..you can't get em easily, but they work wonders

  i heard that valium and prozac and such kinds have unwanted side effects and can affect heart.You cant get them easily too.

  need something more safer without the side effects. I expect people recommending the most abundant solution - Alcohol?

  It doesnt solve problems anyway. The thing is its for a fren of mine who have been taking this medication for hair loss called Propecia for a year and it has somehow induced random and varying degree of depressive like symptoms in him. Though he stopped it for 6 months or so, the effects have not gone away.

  Yep Exercise is the best control for mood swings.

  A diet low in cholestrol and sugar helps too.

  Try more intake of soyabeans, like tempeh, sunflower oil, snack on seeds & nuts with lots of fruits.

  Reduce sugar intakes cos sugar cause spikes in your blood sugar resulting in high and low emotions.

  If u really want those drugs and dun want to be tested positive for any 'substance abuse of controlled medication' , PM me. But since u are in a mild depression, i wont recommend any of those drugs i have in mind, only unless situation is really really bad for you.

  Warning:

  All drugs consumed with alchohol and some with coffee  WILL have adverse effects.

  your friend should go see a doctor instead lah.

  that's the ONLY advice i have for u.

  yeah. did u know. acne meds oso can hab side effects. a common side effect for lots of meds is symptoms of depression. if u no track it properly, pple end up committing suicide because of that oso.

  at least your friend is smart enough to stop taking it. go see a doctor lah. once you start popping pills, it's hard to stop. because to counter the side effects of one, they give you another. etc etc etc.

  Acne meds if u consume with medication will fail ur liver. Happened to my friend. Thats why i rather my face kena then my liver die. hahaha
