How to cash GST OFFSET cheque overseas?

  I closed my bank account in Singapore and have been informed by that a cheque for the GST offset was mailed to my Singapore address.

  How would I be able to cash in the cheque without a bank account in Singapore? Can the cheque be mailed to me overseas and cash into my Australia bank account?

  quite obvious right? gst offset is for gst (in sg).

  You want to cash such a cheque, you cash it in a bank that has a branch in the country you are going to. Do not bring the cash overseas unless you tranferred it into traveller's cheque.
