Is singapore the most expensive country?

  I am trying to move to SG, but appartments so expensive, 3000 dollars up, is this crazy or not, in New York you can get decent appartment for 1500$ in Malaysia you get huge appartment for only 600$ with all the costs included.

  Where can i find decent appartment for 700 Dollars, is there a solution for me. I dont want to pay 3000 or 4000 for appartment.

   

  Please let me know whre to look

  Anyway, our country is filled with foreigners... Everyone is finding an apartment for rent, and it becomes so scarce that prices went up so high... Maybe you can try looking for a room, instead of an apartment.

  Very much cheaper than norway, where a big mac meal will set you back S$36.

  SGD700 for a room with access to kitchen and washing machine is possible in the suburbs of SG

  By world class, we mean taxis that chooses their fares, and method of payment, and train cabins that can squeeze 1999 people and still operate.

  I lived in Japan for a little over three years. It's much more expensive than Singapore. While luxury items, etc., may be expensive here, you can eat on the cheap, and I could never find an Ikea when I was in Japan!

  i agree somewhat - it's difficult for me to rent a place too and i'm new to the country... on the good side, food and other items (fashion, tech, etc) are relatively cheap as wel!

  Singapore is about 700sq km.... with LIMITED LAND space, rental differently don't cum cheap ... but an ADVANCE country with great infrastructures plus a relatively safe place to live and work....

  You can live in Johor Bahru , Malaysia (for cheap accomodation)... but you need to cross over to Singapore everyday if you want to save on $$$... but your personal safety is not assured !

  You can try JB, only a thousand sing dollars will get you a nice big house with garden, then get a car and travel here to work.

  If you are coming... don't complain too much.... We have already 1 million FTs in this small island already...

  When there is a demand (in accomodation), the prices of rental will goes up !

  Singapore has alot of Bus-stops... they are free !!
