My GPA is not good enough to enter the 3 universities, so I am considering SIM-UOL. However, is it widely recognized or ? I visit other forums, many people are bashing SIM-UOL...Is it really that bad ?

Getting in is one story, surviving through is another.
hey dont worry lah. i was an average student also, didnt do well for A levels, so didnt get into local Uni. Went to SIM UOL full time. Got 2nd Class Hons after 3 years.
FYI - the passing mark is 34!
I have been working for the past 6 years, and a degree is just a headstart. Eventually, is your own capability, network and opportunities.
Though, i have to admit, if you are looking for govt or govt related job. They prefer local uni grads, not SIM grads. Private sector is quite okay..
Some pple say SIM is a place for losers (those who cannot get into local Uni). I prefer to take it positively, it is a place for 2nd Chance... pple like me.
Aiyah....Singaporeans too many Elitist Mindset....When will Singaporeans realise that not Every Poly Student can get 3.5 GPA above....Not Everybody can get into the top 10 percentile.....Singaporeans are way too shallow minded.....Thats what i dont like about it....
I must Quote from the Declaration of Human Rights.

what about SIM-RMIT ?
RMIT and UOL, one is Aussie another UK.
The biggest difference is RMIT is more project based and UOL is entirely academic based totally on your exams results.
Simply put, RMIT is like Poly. You got to do projects, meet classmates for project meetings, etc. Whether you do well or not, will depend on 50% project + 50% written exams.
UOL is more like A levels. No projects. It all depends entirely on your end of the year written exams.
i see. wonder which i should choose. lets see...
