You talking about election year is it? They did give out money to citizens during election year, but after election they raise the price of everything to recover the loss. The money payout to citizens during election year was just an investment, after they won the elections they increase price of everything so they can make a profit. How come this year no cash payout to citizens? How come this year GST gone up by 2%?Originally posted by Mat Toro:$11 billion cash to all citizens during the recession. Singapore is facing a net migration loss, we are losing more citizens than we are gaining from foreign immigrants.Originally posted by will4:In fact, the percentage of votes dropped from 72% in 2001 to 66% last year.
I kind of curious could the surge in immigration among the 800 locals to
other countries have someting to do with the unhappiness they faced in this country?

I find it more and more irrelevant to serve NSOriginally posted by maurizio13:Next time you won't hear the government saying "Our Singapore Way of Life", it will be "Our Foreign Talents Way of Life" or "Our Permanent Residents Way of Life", because there won't be any more citizens, only permanent residents.![]()

On the contrary, it is you who do not know what is happening. The reason why my views differ from yours is because I know deeper and wider and in perspective while all you do is parrot what others say w/o processing.
