Presume. If I write "Mr Gazelle is a racist" can everyone assume that means Mr Gazelle is really a racist? You like to tell people not to assume, but I have caught you assuming on numerous occasions. If all your facts are presented on assumptions, I can assure you, we all assume you are dumb.Originally posted by Gazelle:I presume they are referring to 100% white AUSSIE pride
I find that all of us are hypocrites. Since when have SINGAPOREANS not made comments about Banglas and PRCs ourselves. I find us equally racist. I am sure we have all heard our friends refer to other races (joking or not it's up to you to decide) in some terms that should not be used. I am very ashamed when we start accusing others when we don't even bother looking at ourselves first. Down right ASHAMED.Originally posted by 798:actually it's just a discussion, i myself personally feel the majority of the white in australia are racist too. but there will be pple in australia who are friendly too.
gazelle already stated many links already, i dun think i need to do dat too.Originally posted by bangkokboy:I find that all of us are hypocrites. To 798: Please support your statement of MAJORITY of the white in australia. I have nothing against you, but rather the usage of words.
To Gazelle: Should I invite my WHITE Australian friend, who is 70 years old this year (thus belonging to the so called more racist era), opens a successful chain of shops that employs not only WHITE Australians to have a chat with you Mr Gazelle?
I think racism refers to the belief by some ethnic race that they are superior than some other races and have the right to rule over them.Originally posted by breytonhartge:But then racism is to be expected, as singaporeans we are also racist, so what is so different from being a racist white person in australia and a racist chinese person in singapore?
There really is not point to the thread. Racism is present in all parts of the world, so why make so much noise about just australia?
Are you saying that you need to pay tax before you can criticise a country?Originally posted by fymk:We? You mean you?
I have the right to criticise Singapore because I hold the Singaporean passport. Criticism is good - it makes people think on how to improve .
I lived in Singapore for a while , I paid my taxes there . I know enough to criticise.
You did not even live in Australia and you want to criticise? Do you even know how to survive in Australia in the first place? Have you even lived in Australia long enough to pay your taxes there to even criticise?
Oh Gazelle , don't tell me that you feel uncared for? Surely not.
I assure you there are some interesting policies in Singapore. If interested you can PM me.Originally posted by sgdiehard:People prefers to mix around with those who are of the same kind, but only racists define the same kind by their skin colour. Many singaporeans do not like some foreigners, including the mainland chinese. I don't call that racism. We see Chinese, Indian, Malays squeezing on the same trains but in HK, nobody wants to sit near indian on the bus, that's racism. Intermarriages among different races in singapore are common. I would say, generally, Singaporeans are not racists. If somebody don't like you, it will not be because of your race or your skin colour. But of course, there are singaporeans who think that the whites are indeed superior, I would agree than such kind of racism exists in Singapore.
.
Agree x 2! perception n personal upbringing will make pple pass judgement on others, that is cruel fact dat human behaviour tends to bias.Originally posted by sgdiehard:I think racism refers to the belief by some ethnic race that they are superior than some other races and have the right to rule over them.
The american used to (some still do) believe they were superior than the black, that is racism; the segregationist apartheid ideology of the south africa before Mandela was racism; The Nazis belief in the superiority of the distinctive Aryan race is racism.
What is common among all racisms in the world is that it is "the whites" who believes they are superior than the coloured people. The " white policy" of the Australian was only abolished in 1980, or around that time. I am really interested to know how much of the racists mindset remains, especially time when the whites lifestyles are affected, when jobs are taken up by new comers who are not white. Incidents like Cronulla beach incident tells me that the "white superiority" mentality is still there.

There is racism in Malaysia, very transparent, written in their constitution. There is racism in Indonesia, and discrimination against chinese turns bloody violent all the time, barbarian. Is there racism in Australia? surely there is, many asians have experienced that. The cronulla beach incidents tells me it can also turn violent.
Not all white australians dislike the coloured immigrants, but most, if not all prefer immigrants from Britain.
I would very much like to hear that there is no racism in australia. The fact that racism exists in Singapore does not make me feel anymore comfortable about down under.
Mmmh from what I know, majority means more than 50%... not 0.0 something percent. As for me labelling him dumb, you can start reading from thread number 1 to the present and notice there are some points he purposely avoid because he cannot answer them.Originally posted by 798:gazelle already stated many links already, i dun think i need to do dat too.
for gazelle, i believe he is more to an extremist. but it's unfair to label him as dumb.
let's not quarrel anymore. peace~!
sorry, i shouldnt have use 'majority' as my mistake of looking at many cases dat happen.Originally posted by bangkokboy:Mmmh from what I know, majority means more than 50%... not 0.0 something percent. Instead he choses to dig out links after links without giving us his point of views. I can cut and paste lots of links on racism in Japan but what does that mean? What is he trying to tell us?
Notice we ALL agreed that racism exists everywhere? I am not saying there are no Racist in Australia. I am saying there is, BUT it is not the majority.
Do scroll through the threads and you will see who started this bad blood.Originally posted by 798:sorry, i shouldnt have use 'majority' as my mistake of looking at many cases dat happen.
anyway let's chillz cos quarreling in internet of who right or who wrong actually make no different of ones looking like a fool.
but look at my second paragraph, even if u r right, will it be good to cause unhappy scene to prove or shame others?Originally posted by bangkokboy:Do scroll through the threads and you will see who started this bad blood.

Australians are racist. They are horrid people. Please don't go to Australia as you will get assaulted.
In the meanwhile, racism does not exist amongst Singaporeans, Americans, Chinese, Malaysians, Africans, English, Italians, Indians, Thais, Tibetians, Pakistanis, Japanese, Germans, Indonesians, as well as others in other countries.
In fact, the world is free of racism. Only the dumb Australians practise racism. They are so horrid that they rejected Gazelle and made him angry. Oh dear the atrocities that they committed! Making our dear deer angry!
I suggest that we all march down to the Australian Embassy demanding that Australia should follow in the footsteps of Singapore (the whole world in fact) and make Racism a thing of the past! Australia can learn a thing or two from Singapore. In Singapore you wouldn't find people practising racial discrimination and calling people of other races names. Gazelle of course will lead the march.
I am proud to say that Gazelle has enlightened me enough to see that Australia is so horrid... I should tell my Australian friends that I do not wish to befriend them anymore as they are all racists (even though they are very humble and nice people) because Gazelle has produced condemning evidence that Australia consist only of scums.
In fact... Gazelle, you are lucky to get rejected by Australia... at least now you are safe in racism-free Singapore.
Singapore is so fortunate to have a citizen like you.![]()

How can you say that? Gazelle is absolutely right... those Singaporeans passing by Little India and making racist remarks are not racist, because they don't say it in your face unlike in Australia. People who stares at Banglas when they enter the MRT and make jokes are not racist... As long as you don't hit anyone is not considered racism... So we can all go ahead and hurl racial insults behind other people's back. Nope, that is not considered racism. Insult all you want. Yes, I suggest that everyone do that now...Originally posted by maurizio13:Like I said before, no point talking to dogs, they won't understand, they only bark what they want, they don't understand where you are coming from.

Here doggy doggy!! *throws a cyanide laced T-bone*
I think it is an issue for people who actually live in Australia. We carry alot more weight in opinions since we do actually live here in the Australian environment and amongst Australians BUT YOU DON'T . So far you never actually DISCUSSED your personal experience . All but just newspaper cuttings, dumping of unanalysed research and a forum thread which you didn't even read through but judged immediately.Originally posted by Gazelle:Are you saying that you need to pay tax before you can criticise a country?
If Australia is now your new "home", you should be spending more time to trying improve Australia instead of wasting your time trying to teach Singapore how to run it like a white man country.
I am merely quoting news and article about racism problem in Australia, I dont see it as a personal attack. btw, attack who? You?![]()

......Is Gazelle a bigot or what ?
Racism exists all over the world even in SIngapore, why is he only singled out Australia ???
White policy of Australia was abolished in 1973 not 1980s . The 1975 Racial Discrimination Act made the use of racial criteria for any official purpose illegal. Which means that your resume - they don't want to know which ethnicity you are unless the job, usually targeted at indigenous australians, is specifically excluded from the EEO regulations .Originally posted by sgdiehard:What is common among all racisms in the world is that it is "the whites" who believes they are superior than the coloured people.
