Someone wrote this on Tan Kin Lian Blog. I guess i am not the only who noticed the bad photo on Sunday Times. Thats what we get from States Times, the opposition in a bad photo while PM Lee is smiling most of the time.
Dear Mr Tan,
Your previous entry has 81 comments (too many) mine will be buried in those.
I
m not too sure if anyone has mentioned this. Aside from the Title that
has an distorted angle using words like "REVEALS" and "AMBITIONS"
I
wish to highlight the photo that they use! No offense or pun, they have
chosen a photo that showed you frowning (with the multiples wrinkled
lines on the forehead, a queer angle, and with a somewhat crooked smile)
To
be honest, if i hadnt know you, or some common folks who never read
about the good deeds you had done over the past years (started with the
educational blog to the DBS high 5 notes saga) that photo would have
"turn" them off. I did a check with my maids who i told them to just go
based on the looks; they shaked their head vigorously.
Well, i think you are def. not in favor with the local press, and we know who owns the media in Singapore. =p
(In
no way am i commenting how you look, just the way the photo was
purposely taken and represented with the headlines in the SUNDAY TIMES)
Wish you all the best, i ll be printing and getting the signatures from my frens and family. = )
well, he will want to look serious and angry, right?
i mean, if he leads a protest, with the headlines "500 angry protestors" or something like that, and show a smiling face, people will think the newspaper trying to be funny.

I have noticed Sylvia Lim looked bad in many of States Times photos. It need not be smiling just something well taken. bad photos of opposition are classic tactics of PAP controlled State Times.

Sorry i used my Sunday Times to clear dog shit yesterday. Cant Scan it as i dont have a copy now.
Yes, there are rumors about the backgrounds of the members of TOC. The rumors are out there in the internet.
I always tell myself not to be too biased to any party.
Why? Partys come and go, in time. The Nation is here to stay. I mean, i do not expect a party to win all the time due to competition - the better player wins. I may support 1 party today but that is due to what I feel about its value to the people. But most important of all, what the NATION needs at the moment. In short, I urge people to decide what is required for our nation and not just support for a particular party. Guys, what do you think is missing or lacking in Singapore. there you have it. That is the right thing to do for now.
I do not believe it is wise to split the Alternative pie further. I believe in 1 strong Alternative to counter as required the other party.
This can be achieved if we do not be so partisan but look at things from a National Perspective.
For now, I support TOC's publishing of letters rejected by ST.
Why? Its as simple as the fact that it is good for the People. Who has been doing this? Which website or blog or forum can do a better job? These are the things we should support. I do not feel comfortable about TOC's backgrounds. But I try to be objective and considered our constraints and limitations - we lack people who step forward to help the scared and weak and naive and kia.
I believe if unpublished letters keep getting displayed to the people to let them know what is going on, its good for transparency. There has always been rumors about the MSM. So, this effort has to be a continuous effort. A ULTRUISTIC effort to allow the people access to some information not known to them.
We the People should support any steps to IMPROVE the SYSTEM and not just a particular organization or party. NATION 1st! Lets for once Look at things from a NATIONAL perspective and not partisan perspective! Do what can improve a system and this can sometimes mean criticising even the party you are more biased towards. We need to Balance the Ying with the Yang , else …..
With more information like this, the wall , if any, CAN BE TORN Down, in time, as momentum snowballs.
viva la Democracy!
viva la Transparency!
viva la u-n-me.

So, if TKL ,being baselessly alleged by one guy Chua to be anti-gov, become elected Presidente , would this not make him more credible to check-n-balance on the u-know-who ?
What happens if one considers TKL's background?
Pensioning?
Its confusing right guys? Well, it is for me!

understandable. i thought you will use a older copy to do that, considering yesterday, the sunday times is the latest copy.

is associating tan kin lian with CSJ a form of character assassination?

...hehehe .... anyway, I am not affiliated to anyone, so if he turns out to be horrible, I will be the first to condemn him... just that right now, we need plurality as opposed to one party/one despot/one family controlling the nation.
In order for a country to be strong, resiliant and for long term success, (not flash in the pan success), we must be able to build consensus across all-comers and all-comers must have a say if not a place (not one party controlling the mass media and only their views are expressed).
