Me ah, in pr sch used to have 2 friends who had the same birthdays as me. One was my year, the other was my netball senior (older by a year). After that, didn't find anymore until now - my female boss also shared the same birthday as me! Hmm, character ah, not that similar leh actually. She is a very assertive woman, whereas I more "scaredy cat"
Very rich also, which I am not again 
Her mood swings more than me lor, but I guess she is "high-level" enough lor hehehe... 
For similarities, we are both very "machine gun" when it comes to talking, and very impatient too...and quite crazy at times, can suddenly say something out of the blue and make everybody cua dio, wondering what we are talking about... -

My birthday falls on same day as Lin Lingzhi!! Approaching hor? Hahah..But not same year haha...I remember one year I told JieQi I was celebrating 18th birthday, he got a shock..coz I was very young haha..This year is 20th birthday la..but hey do u guys know that there are 2 lunar birthdays this year? I wonder..that makes me 22 ma? LOL..
Sad to say, there was once when I was out for lunch, a girl went to apply for membership card..supposed to be my job but my colleague took over coz I was out for lunch...then when I was filling up the necessary forms, I realized that I missed the chance to see that girl! Same year, same month, same day...too bad..got the urge to know her leh..hee hee.. -

I like those songs too..especially the jazz song in ..made me feel touched..very soothing song..then is another good movie with very nice songs.. of course..they spent so much on it. I personally like Faye wong's song..the one which sounds like a very young girl singing, and Leon Lai's song .. -

after my 21st bday, i never really thot my bdays were that special anymore, perhaps really feel getting old, and it made no diff...
tho still got frens celeb, but i could do w/out lah, i think it's the thots that count. i'd rather be receiving only sms/cards wishes from pple who really meant to give me the wishes, rather than presents from frens who give them out of the formality.... -

Enjoyed myself yday except that i got a few frightening moments when i saw those dolls at the cinemas...almost knocked into one and almost cried out..too terrifying..still haunting me now.

wah, I really very suaku, no watch The Eye 1 or 2 before, because I scared of horror movies. I also don't dare watch war movies ("Saving Pte Ryan" was the only one I gave a try reluctantly, and I nearly had nightmares
), thrillers (my heart can't take the suspense!)...but I am a big fan of detective / thriller novels leh. Maybe no visual images so not so scared?
I read reviews about "Passion of the Christ" and they were pretty good. A few of my friends are going to watch it, but of course I will give it a miss
Heard a woman in US and a priest in Brazil died of heart attack while watching the film. Another US guy confessed to a murder crime after watching the show (because the story about Christ provoked his conscience?). So the show seems like really got impact. Heard some scenes quite bloody and gory too... eeeeeeeeeee... -
Yahoo! Heard Liang Jingru's "Bu Xiang Shui" this morning... looks like this song is gaining popularity. was elated when I heard it during Jieqi's slot two weekends ago.
Hajime scared scared of horror movies... I used to have that problem too... Back in primary school, I remember watching one of those Chinese vampire movies (yi jian fa cai, meng gui xue tang etc.) and couldn't sleep well for weeks.
After a while, i figured the way out of this is to mentally include the director, the cameraman, the lights, etc. of the set of the horror movie each time I think of the horror scene.

Reading the postings... I tend to form mental images of everyone... somehow, such mental images changes with time.
For example, I used to think Hajime is a pretty well-built lady standing at 1.7 m or slightly less. Perhaps athletic, sporty and sporting a short hairdo. But now, after reading about her horror story with horror movies, I tend to think she is a petite, kawaii, sub-1.65 girl with shoulder-length hair.
As for Browniebaobao, I can't help but think she is a bubbly, happy go lucky type of person.
Shervon sounds like a pretty 'hip' person on the phone while her postings give me the impression that she is sophisticated. Very gan3 xing4 also.
Also, my guess of how Jieqi looked like was totally off the mark! I was quite surprised when I saw Jieqi on TV. I nearly flipped!

many years ago, emil chow had a canto song wif the same tune....the title is hai jiao tian ya......
somehow, i alwiz prefer the song in the original language......dun really like translated songs...... -
Yes... the original tune was from Japan... Okinawan song to be exact. The title of the Okinawan song is dao3 bei1.
it's a really ooomppff song when you hear it with the Okinawan lyrics accompanied by the Okinawan banjo. (See my earlier post for more details.) -
Be watching The Passion of the Christ tomorrow...I'm Catholic so this show means a lot to me!

Gees..I haven't watched horror movies for a long long time....too scared..always closed my eyes when the story goes to the climax, or scream and scare my family haha..then get nightmares at night..I watched before..it's not a ghost movie..but it was horrifying..the mask and the sabre...was haunting me after I watched the movie..got nightmares ever since.

Agree with tinker. Winnie Hsin (Xin Xiaoqi) does have many good songs besides the better known Scent (Wei Dao)/ Understanding (Ling Wu). Unfortunately, she had not spent enough time in this part of the world and few listeners here know her beyond these two great compositions.Originally posted by tinker:Hi all....

Although I must say that it is heartening to know Love 972 does play her songs almost daily.
By the way, she is currently working on her new album and we can look forward to at least one new album from her within the year. Hope that we have more oportunities to see her here this year.

I think kawaii andpetite are the last words anyone will ever used on me LOL I scared of horror movies because I get immersed into the show too easily, then I will start to imagine things hahaha...but I am an avid football fan leh, so I am quite tomboyish leh, though I don't have short hair. I am bad in forming impressions of people, so I will skip trying hehe...
I was singing Winnie Hsin's songs in KTV some days ago - Cheng Ren, Huang Tang and Tan Qing Kan Ai. I like Cheng Ren a lot, esp this sentence "xian gei ai de ren bing bu ke lian". This song is not so hysterical, very soothing and wen rou. I don't even like Wei Dao at all
I won some stuff from i-Weekly before too. The building is quite ulu in AMK industrial area. The nearest MRT station is Yio Chu Kang. Walking from YCK MRT to the building is about 20-30mins, with no shelter practically all the way. Or you can taking a bus (think 268 or something like that) near the MRT station for about 2-3 stops then walk another 5mins...erm, I also don't know how to describe leh...go www.streetdirectory.com.sg to look for the building ba.
Oh, I just finished Dan Brown's "The Da Vinci Code", and it was a great book, though some people may not like it for his controversial take on Christianity. But don't be mistaken, it's a suspense thriller, not a religion novel, just that the a fair bit of the story had some Christianity background. I just bought his other books because I like the way he built up his story. But I will finish the "The five people you meet in heaven" first. Haha, was reading other Chinese books before that, so that's why this book had to "queue" so long for my attention -

No no no, I did not manage to read the entire thread. It's 49 pages, how could I ever have done it. It's a pure coincidence that I passed by and read Tinker's message. If i am not wrong, I believe that tinker's message was left exactly a year ago. Coz it was in April 2003 when Winnie and some others from Rock braved SARS to perform here for NKF.
I am also very surprised to read that Hajime knows the song "Admit" (Cheng Ren). I do not like Ling Wu. Wei Dao is ok. But i prefer other songs such as those in her album called "Every Woman". Songs in this album reflect her true character more. -

Don't know leh...the moment heard "Cheng Ren" for the very 1st time, I liked it very much. I think it was good she started out with "Ling Wu", because that gave her the attention which would otherwise be lacking if she started with songs like "Wei Dao" which had less impact. When I heard she was attached (to a younger fan), I thought she would "retire" from the scene, but now they broke up le, so she should be preparing some new work soon ba, since her album of Korean works was well-received.

winnie hsin, i dun particularly like her songs, but other than the famous wei dao and ling wu, i like her zou guo and yi wang.......
horror movies, dun tink i've watched any ghost movies lately.....chinese ghost stories, like those jiangshi shows dun scare me anymore; jap ghost stories i find are more scary.......i didnt dare watch ju on...though i watched the ring...only the 1st ring i got scared, but the subsequent one was abit ridiculous and i rem while watching it, there were some pple in the cinema who made some funnie actions and we ended up laffing thruóut the show...
sixth sense was quite scary to me also.....but each time i got startled is bcoz got pple in the cinema scream.
i get scared only after the movie, the imagination of something hovering over u, creeping behind your back...........yeeks!
when i was younger i used to enjoy ghost stories, and i heard alot of them..but now, i rather not scare myself....tho sometimes i still like to listen to pple say these so-called true life account........hehe -

But anyway, so happy you know? Saw him again..lol..think he saw me and my fren sitting at the reception area but din pay notice the two of us..or should I say..he din notice it's me! Haha..Aiyo..so lucky to have met him leh..but hor..din get to talk to him....and i forgot to get my Music Diary CDs for him to sign...
I know too.."Cheng ren ba dui wo hai you hao duo gan jue"..very sad song..I like her too..as for ..i remember my ex-supervisor likes that song.. left me a deep impression bcos of her crying and washing the toilet bowl....
