if you can trust him + he is your best buddy, lend it to him. what goes around, comes around. you help others when they're in need, and they'll help you when you're in need.
but make sure you can survive with the 500 left in your acc first

i've seen this prob b4...my ex bf 's good fren actually owns another fren AUD$4,500 +++ and he is just a student!!! i dun even know wat the hell he spent on .......he dun have any income...dunno how the fark he settled wif that,that time i always asked him to seek help from the bank for options.....maybe ur fren can do that also?
but still.........ask family for help 1st..............he not man enuff to do that meh?
asking money from frens r definitely a bad idea lar.....frenship is on the line....but to me ,S$500 is a small sum,he can definitely pay it off,that amount can easily get off from parents.....then get a part time job to return the money to the parents lor -
to most of you all, 500 is not a lot, but for my family, yes as nw only me n mom feeding on the whole family( mom working 1/2 a day part time job while i'm on army not getting combat pay) and i need to pay my own expenses, yes it may seems selfish but i had enuff trauma this yr. had enuff of mental torture.
