Anyways, if you're a male, then its completely normal. Yea, even if its your best friend, sister, cousin or someone close.
Hmm, a counsellor once asked me a question.
Why do we do the things we do?
Why do we study? So that we can get a good job and earn money.
Why do we want so much money for? So that we can be happy, in a sense.
Are you sure you can be happy with lots of money? For a while at least...
And he proceeded to tell me that all we do, all everyone is in the world is doing... can be coined by a single word. Love. We do things because we want to be loved. We want to be appreciated by people, we want to let people like us, adore us even.
Love comes in many forms, but the most common form, in which we all want is that of BGR. And why is that so?
In our conservative Singapore society, hugging friends(if you're not female) is quite unheard of. I rarely see guys giving each other hugs. Heck, they could even be coined as gays.
In a BGR, we are exposed to love in its purest form(usually). We give unconditionally, we express our love for each other physically and emotionally. I believe a hug gives people a well-being of both physical and emotions.
And since we're guys, we don't get hugged much(unless you have a gf of your own), and we tend to be envious of others when we see it happen, if even a little.
I have learned to not let it affect me so much by ignoring it mentally. You'll be surprised at what the brain can do...
But yes, i believed i've talked too much already.
Just know that its completely normal Heng.
well i've hugged guy friends b4, and i've hugged gal friends. anyways actually, don't be too suprised that u mistook me for a gal too...
like i said, the issue is so much more complex but I am unable to talk about it.... but well i guess thanx for spending the time to help.
