loner is different from lonely woh.. i'm or rather i was a loner during my army times, but i truely didn't feel an urge to communicate with other people..
sometimes, when i've been going out with ppl for days, there will be a time when i'll "break off contact with society" stay at home and listen music.. quiet time is still the best way to kill time..
at the same time, no man is an island.. and it's impt to get social contacts.. esp with respect to working life.. social skills will determine how well your performance in the workplace will be.. -

although i say i am loner, when it comes to people handling, i try not to shy away, because i believe in being assertive and getting things done.
if you the kind who is a loner and don't dare to approach people even for valid purposes, then that is not beri good. -

it's not resist the impulse.. is we do not have the impulse to do such stuff in the first place.. can u imagine someone enjoying being alone, shopping alone, or other stuff? less troublesome, you can go where you want to go, when you want to go..
for me, if you talk to me, sure, i'll talk back.. if you sit down there and diam diam, i don't mind either.. -

i believe in being a loner because i see relationship in the soicety as
superficial, since they are superficial why don't i adopt being-a-loner concept.
when times are good friends meet up and talk cork.
when times are bad or money is involved, especially a large amount,
friends seldom reach out to help.
people always say that we should treasure out loves one because we never know when accident can take their lives away, but how many people actually practices what they preach.
my views are, friendship is made because people are afraid of being labelled
as an outcast, has liitle are no friends.
also , friendship is made because talking about common things is fun and
it having a friendship group gives people a sense of identity.
and people needs a sense of identiy, unknowingly to themselves, because
they have fears in them.
there are other aspects , positive and negative things about different relationship to be disscuss, but i believe that
at the end of the day, people needs to depend on themselves, relationship
which you sometimes can use it asa a shoulder to lean against, is unstable.
as a loner, i often try not to run away from my fears because since i depend on myself, i try to overcome it myself through regular self reflection. -
I've been a loner most of my life..... maybe because I used to get bullied a lot when I was younger. My father would scold me even more when I told him I got bullied..... apparently he's ashamed of the fact that I'm weaker than others.
So in the end I kept mostly to myself...... I reasoned, no point making friends if they're going to bully me.
Eventually I realised..... it's not fun being alone all the time. Sure, in being a loner I spared myself from the difficulties of being with people......all the troubles, all the hassles...... all the grief.
However, I decided that sometimes it's better to have someone by your side. There's no point in having so many achievements and so many experiences if you're not going to share them with anyone.
So I came out of my shell and got to know people.... and I am all the better for it. I am now happier and more contented with my life.
As for the bullies..... good riddance. -

yet somehow the loner instinct is still ingrained within me.. although less so compared to last time.. still think hanging out with myself is one of the better ways to kill time

this i am trying to adopt a do-nothing life.
it is something like a cleasning lifestyle where i unlearn all habits and usual activites so that i can start from ground zero. actually there is a whole lots of
other beliefs that i cannot possibly write it here.
i currently have habits of watching arsenal(EPL teams ) matches,
entertainment news channel 52 and 54.
and other misc. which can attract me.
surfing anyhowly, and reading newspaper . all very inddor stuff.
but i believe these are just past time activities, they don't have much real uses, so i am trying to unlearn all of them, but they are all pretty much my regular activities, and so it is difficult not to do them, but i am trying..... -

Sometime it's boring to be alone.. with company, u have fun, get into trouble together and getting more variety.Interact people from different background and different thinking and appreciate the diversity of people.
But somehow i prefer to be quiet and aloof... just contented to stay at home doing my stuffs like cooking, watching shows and being with my family. -

Ever wondered why you are alone and the people around you are not?
There are true friends and friends who will accompany you to walk down the path of life. At least even for a short journey down your path of life.
Loner are losers who resigned their life to the people around them. Winners put in effort to *change their thinking and way of life. So if you are alone and lonely, there is seriously something wrong with you and it is the truth.
You are not happy with your life and the people around you and that's probably the reason why you are lonely and alone. Be different for once, open up and absorb the people's personality around you like a child. Change and be willing to change your personality to include those good traits from the people whom you came across in your life. Nobody is meant and born to be sad, alone and lonely. Your creator put you in the environment where there are a lot of other people is because you are supposed to learn, adjust and display the skills of communication with the people around you and make as many friends as you can before you die eventually.
You still have a long way ahead of you and plenty of time for you to make the changes and live a happier and more busy and meaningful life. Don't waste it away cos you can't go back again once you passed by every single day.
Be good and nice and sincere to the people around you and you shall be appreciated in return...you should trust me and take my word for it cos I was once in a similar situation like you.

Well, me a loner too. I also seldom starts talks or even approach people to talk.. plus my face always black black .. nt as if i want it..my face born liddat mah.. so people often take me as act cool or wadever which i dont really bother about now..that's y i dont have friends in that sense..
You can say that loners are losers, which I also think so, as i really want to make friends with others .. well, friends are very important in our life, second to family.
But what makes your friend a true friend?.. during my sec sch times, i had this bunch of friends who played basketball. on the surface, we looked as if we're all good friends..but behind my back, who would know how they insult me? saying my bball skills sux and such, .. even i m not good in bball, it doesnt means i do not have any pride and have to take such insult..
Then during sec 3/4 i got seperated from the class and went to a new class, and non of my "friends" went to the same class so i'm on my own then..
i met this group of friends, who is kinda playful and sort of.. more active people.. at first they see me not happy..coz of my face again...all thought i xiao pai kia..then they 4 gang up and bully me..and that's the worst day i have in upper secondary.. but dont know y, after a month or so we becames friends, while some of their other friends still hates me.
I thought the worst was over, and finally met some friends with same interest as me ( yugioh, online games, and such ) .. but how would I thought they were speaking bad of me behind my back.. i once walk pass them without them noticing and i heard them saying i was a dog who was following their "gang" ..
They were treating me like a DOG! I was so sincere in making friends with them, even tho some of them hated me, i tried to be friendly and hope we can be friends, but in the end i ended up as a dog for 2 yrs...
Now we've finish our Os and waiting for results..and since sch end, we never keep in contact, or say nv speak to each other, even in msn..
It's like everybody i met till now, are all only hi and bye friends..and it's only the secondary school.. think my poly life will be much more worst ..
Since sec4 period, altho i look as if i am still the old me, but i began not to trust people .. those who seems like ur friend will still betray you, talk bad about u .. i swear i didnt offended them, or have any bad blood with them, didnt know why they treat me like this..
There's only 1 person whom i will called as a friend, who took the time to told me when and where prom nite were held..and he was not 1 of the commitee who set up the prom nite..juz a friend who bother to tell me..well, tho i didnt go tho, as u can see..they didnt want me to go either..
So I prefer being a loner..rather than a dog..at least being a loner i will not take insults anymore... i dont trust people now... man, if i continue later i cry ar..too emotional..reflecting my sec sch life haha.. -

Not only was I a loner because of other people bullying me.... My Sec 3 class for the most part hated me as well. Part of that was because I was a loner... they thought I was being arrogant and anti-social. Ok, maybe I was a little anti-social by being a loner but I am definitely not a snob. Anyway, they would isolate me, talk badly of me behind my back, etc, etc.
My voice only served to make things worse. You see, I'm a mixed Indian/Malay. Somehow when my voice broke it settled into a mild pseudo-Brit accent. My classmates all thought that I was making up my own accent. Gimme a break.... my elder brother has my voice. My two sisters also have slight accents in their voices..... Can't be we all trained our voices to have Brit accents rite?
Anyway, my coming out of the shell happily coincided with their waking up their bloody ideas. They realised (most of them, anyway) that they were being shallow in judging me based on my voice.
Life got much better after that..... I became happier, more content, and my grades went up as well. -
Usually a LONER... But DO MIX AROUND from TIME to TIME... CERTAINLY don't wanna MISS OUT on some parts of LIFE yeah...? Hehheh...
