how to get my dad to stop running thru my things?

  this happens to us... we lose something and keep looking for it everywhere we can think of... and end up neglecting someone else's privacy, use up another person's time etc.
  
  parents are especially guilty because they feed and clothed us and sometimes think we are obligated to pay them back (which unfortunately we are to some extent)

  you should just let this pass. parents naturally tend to be like that. they rummage thru your stuff maybe just to spot check on your belongings and see if you're up to no good.
  
  i believe there's no use getting into an arguement with them because they most probably feel they have the right to go thru your stuff even tho they may be private.
  
  these actions can really piss us off sometimes but then again, they are our parents. so just remember how you feel now and not to do this to your kids in time to come.

  guess waht my dad told me the other day he came into my room again?
  
  he came back looking the a cover yet again. so i told him "didnt i already say no?"

  Nobody's fault actually... Perhaps just generation gap? Some older folks just have a more different way of expressing things which the younger generation just often don't quite get it? And often, the younger generation would prefer a more straightforward way.....
