That least given these opportunity to test the tolerance of man and women in forum and to see the outcome of the discussion.
Till now. I haven't seen anyone with truly objective post to rebutt on the thread starter.
I am wondering, is there's no quality poster in AA that can reply in style and complete concentration of presenting their stand against the flawed [proven]statement.
Instead of 'flaming'(close to it) and emotional post, i'd love to see this 'nonsense' become a positive thread.
It is possible. If people here are objective.
Note: how many times have we seen one-liners telling people to dump bf/gfs or the bf is a Bast*** and gf is bit*h / or 'you deserve more then this'....
They don't deserve those comments.
This is AA, there are so many 'nonsensical relationship' problems here, IMO. However we shouldn't close it. Speaker's Corner has it's red tape.
The objective is to post rationale comments which might help.

Basically the threadstarter is saying that nice guys are a*holes simply based on one news article of fairly undetailed reporting. There was no phsycho-analytic profiling. I could say female X has a really nice personality at first impression. After which she proceeded to mercilessly backstab all her friends and family. Therefore all women are lying wh*res.

Basically ALL human beings are like that to a certain extent. There is no objective stance to take. -
Objectivity.
There are certain statements he[HafizulKMS] made which i seem to agree to a certain extend. It is a sweeping statement, usually that had gotten from black sheeps.

If you find that there isn't anything to defend. Then don't.

Since nicety is a subjective concept, what would not nice entail?
Obviously as the threadstarter asserted, not nice means killing somebody under the pretext of being nice.

At this juncture, before anything escalates, I think we need to define what values are assigned to nice/not nice acts. ( Unless you believe in karma in which the fold theory is already established )
I personally believe that the end justifies the means. Ethics is highly over rated. Its just like saying, would the person that murdered hitler as a baby be considered nice or not nice? -

To a certain extent, one man's objectivity isnt another's. Just because one man gives seemingly "balanced" view doesnt mean that he has a view. It can also be that he is not sure. So perhaps it is difficult to be an objective poster ? Even Moderators arent objective, because if you only have one person speaking of an alternate experience, your objectivity is helplessly encapulated by subjective nounces.
In an AA forum, many threads are emotional call for help. Sometimes, perhaps we cannot impose a sense of objectivity to an emotional call ? For example, if a person list that he or she is cheated of money by their spouse and want to leave him or her, what kind of objectivity shall we offer ? Perhaps the best is to not post anything. But i do find posters who share experiences to be sincere and helpful - rather than those you mentioned who just like to pick off targets with their tainted arrows.
I agree with you that a forum should be more tolerant. especially in a forum, which i have also shared with you - that we cannot really know sometimes what the poster mean - because a wholesome conversation is conducted face to face, rather than online. ;-) -
