i don't have my other half yet, that's why never include it in mah.. lolz... and i'm not itching to be someone great, or to accomplish great things... i'm just kinda wondering if that is it to life. this routine, plateu thing. i mean, i go out with friends sometimes also. catch a movie with siblings. crap with my students and all... but is this really all for life? is this going to spell the rest of about 40 years of my life?

I find it hard to answer this question. some ppl choose the way they live, while others let nature decide,i cant say either is wrong, ppl choose the way they live,(has its pros and cons) if you belong to the category of the comfort zone, yes, life will be like you say.
"boring,get married, have kids, grow old, sick and die."
up to now, the most meaningful thing that i feell that one can do in life, is to make a difference in others' life.
As you are burning out your wax, be sure to lite up other candles as well. I see that you teach too, I am sure you had alreadly share with your students what you have experience. well, keep it up, but please tell them the correct things.
My teacher once told me that," as long as her students dont become a scum in the society, she have succeed."that is what i told my students now. -

The introduction of an "other half" may temporarily bring in a break of routine, but very soon the "other half" would eventually become part of the routine as well (unless one keeps replacing the "other half" ).
And one of the worst reasons one could possibly give when looking for an "other half" is in hoping to dispel the boredom and drudgery of life. Because the "other half" gradually becomes comfortable and familiar like a pair of old shoes and one would soon get bored again. -
