Here are some correct information about pregnancy and abortion in Singapore.
First, the cheapest method is to go to any polyclinic and ask for a referral to KK. Polyclinic consultation fees are about 8 bucks (?). Subsequently u'll have to go to KK for about 2~3 visits, mainly to assess how old the foetus is and give u counselling. Also they'll make u watch "The Silence Scream". and as it's subsidized rates, have to wait very long and see a different doctor everytime. And when u register over at the polyclinic, remember to tell the lady that u're not planning to keep the child as some doctors are against abortion.
It'll be a day surgery which u go in at about 8 am and u can leave by 4pm. there's no need for drips or anything, they'll jus give u a sweet drink and maybe some biscuit when u wake up.
Total cost will add up to be less than 200.
Second, we have the Women's Charter in sg, so as long as the girl is not underage, the hospital do not have the right to inform the girl's parents.
Third, abortions are harmful to the girl, but one-time abortion SHOULD NOT affect the girl's chance of conceiving again.
Fourth, even after the operation, there might be complications like failed abortion, where the foetus is still in the mother's womb. Thus monitoring of the girl's condition is very important.
Fifth, the test clinics use are the same as those that can be brought off-shelf, so dun bother to waste the extra buck. -
