Contrary to what many might say, the Type C rooms are not hot and sweltering at all.
I've lived there for a week during our annual Pre-University Seminar in 2001 and I must say that I needed the blanket at night, as the fans are pretty big for a room of this size, and the windows open out to the central courtyard where drafts can be felt at times.
I do not know if your room is facing the afternoon sun, if so, it might be very bright in the day and you should get wooden blinds.Bring in a portable air cooler or a table fan will be sufficient.
Hope this helps..oh and btw, some types of rooms in PGPR are for married or graduate students, especially those with a small living room and attached bathrooms.
Say, which faculty will you be studying in this August?I'm matriculating too but I'm not staying on campus.Lol.
I'm impressed.
You struck me as a guy in his late 20s or early 30s, not some soon-to-be freshman.
