Maybe squirrels are Not suited to them? Maybe they're more suited to the appetites of little mice & hamsters?

You'd just have to get used to it.

Love is unconditional. Once you start expecting.. it'll only bring pain.
What Nelstar meant by expect - could be hinting to the 'dark side' of things.Originally posted by Tuatau:If one is not expecting anything from it, why would one be motivated to fall into it in the first place?
quick open thread to discuss..Originally posted by M©+square:What Nelstar meant by expect - could be hinting to the 'dark side' of things.
You mean the expectating - by dating into intimate r/s?
I believe one could be motivated to fall in love in the first place for absolutely no reason.
Humans are emotional beings and usually unable to control themselves when it comes to love.
Something i've learnt. Will discuss this again.
- In everthing single person, everything we do are of positive intent.

Any intent, be it positive or negative, still leads to a form of expectation, no? If you do something with an intent, wouldn't you expect to see a certain kind of result?
It is human to crave for love. A baby, without knowing the concept of love, gurgles happily at the caress of a loving hand. A baby, yet without the capacity to give love, stops crying when held tenderly in the arms of a loving parent.
And for most non-ascetic people, that craving for love, that desire to be loved, has not ended even in adulthood. That craving, that desire is a form of expectation. And these people learn to give love and sometimes even life itself, in the hope that their expectations could be fulfilled.
Why do many people suffer the bitter taste of disappointment when they give their love, yet do not see the result they expect? That's right. They were expecting certain kind of result, and were seeking to achieve it. So when things don't go as what they had expected, what gives?
It is possible though, especially among the spiritually enlightened, to give love without expecting anything from the recipient, but that does not necessarily mean they have no expectations any more. Rather, the expectation, instead of coming from without, now comes from within. Contentment, happiness or serenity is now the result expected from giving love and because it is always self-fulfilling, it appears from the outside that these people no longer carry any expectation and hence no disappointment.
An action comes from a intent or purpose. A purpose seeks a consequence. The consequence leads to an expectation. There is no motivation for action without expectation (though one doesn't think this "expectation" is what Nelstar meant when he mentioned no "expectation" from a relationship).
