Is money a major factor in relationship?

If this gal im with is 5years, but when we talk about money we always spoil our relationship. Is it good to continue any further?

Gf - working / family background poor
Conculsion : Bf studying work parttime income, gf pay for food, transport for me, end up she like to compare to me the things she always do for me, she want in return i treat her that too. But from income cant help her to topup transport, food. She became angry. Im confused. -

She is so in love with money. I test her with a scenario that if next time we are married, monthly i give u $500. Thats a example, she said not enough.
Partly i guess because she is in a poor family, she got a manternity thinking of escaping the poor feeling, she dont want to be poor. -

if she reali treat money more impt then you.. i guess it reali a time to sit down and have a gd talk, she shld understand you are studying and you cant afford the things that she can afford. Tell her.. for the time being.. you reali cant afford those things and if she reali love you, she shld understand.. if not.. i guess.. you know wat to do..

In today's world, everything costs $.
I guess she is tired and sick of keeping track of the $ thingy and the fact that she has to pay for you in some ways. Of course, love shld transcend all barriers and boundaries, but once she compares her situation and her other friends, she will feel that she is losing out.
Besides reassuring her, maybe, you shld try to understand from her point of view.
$500 per month is definitely not enough! (at least for me!) -
$450 not enough for you. How much u think a guy can earn? married alot of things to pay. $1000 for wife? Too much for monthly allowances plus parents need money too.

If you are studying, I suggest you end this relationship and find some gal that is studying in your school.
As both of you come from the same financial background, it will be hard on her if she have to foot for the bills every time she goes out with you.
I guess she have friends whose boy friends are footing all the bills.
When the comparison comes in, you are at the losing end.
Furthermore, you need more time to focus on your study so that you can get a good result for your future.
This is a difficult period and a test for your relationship.
If your gal friend is supportive and paitent of your situation, you can carry on the relationship.
If not, face up to reality. -
I really hope tat money is not impt in a r/s. But then, it is indeed impt.
My r/s failed cos I was previously engaged in my part time studies too and cant afford much on her and I cant spend much time with her too. She dun mind all these enjoyment in our initial r/s but ...... Got to face reality but I still believes that there are girls outside who is willing to stuggle through with their bf especially when they know that their bf is spending money for a better future. I have friends who have extremely good gf who went through thick and thin even if their bf cant guarantee a luxury life in future.
Have a nice chat with your gf and hope that she will understand how devoted you are in building up a better future. -
Well i talk to her, everything works out fine. Anyway im upgrading myself studying now. Im 21 i finished my ns 2yrs ago, she is 22, after my studies im going to work. I guess is tough her to wait for me before i go in army and out of army last time, and now im upgrading myself, and she is waiting too.

Yes it is one of the major causes for marital breakup.
A couple should agree on financial management- how much to spend/ save before they get married to avoid quarrels & disagreements. -

If you don't like young girls, & prefer to go out with older girls, then perhaps you should take responsibility for your choice, rather than put all the blame on your gf?
Afterall, SHE's paying for YOUR expenses. Don't like her nagging? Choose younger girls. Don't like younger girls? Then tolerate her nagging.

dude.. wake up your idea... when you get married, i presume you will move into your own house. 3 room flat, let's say. 500 bucks a month is not even enough for phone bill, utilities bill, newspapers, gas, food..... serious... my family is not rich, and we need more than 500... gosh...

Just hang in there if you can, but if I were you I wont have too much hope for this relationship. The last 5 years that you have been through with her will be very different from the next 5 years. I am sorry to say that money is a major factor. Most of the girls use the number of present or money you lavish on them to measure the level of love you have for them. They may not mind when they are young but when they grow older, they will realise money is very important. Love may died but money that put into the bank will never disappear unless she spend it.
