How much do i actually mean to u? Had u love me, why say u love me? Why get me into this relationship and now says again u're not prepared..
U brought me high up to the heaven before crashing me hard to the ground. I guess i won't be able to get up now.. *hurts* -

isn't love strange...
i guess you're feeling kinda down.. mope, grieve and all that.. maybe one day he'll be ready and if the fates allow the both of you to be together again, hey, why not?
but in the meantime, be well yah?
and pete.. don't step on someone when they're down? to make fun of people when they're most vulnerable is terrible.. -

sometimes in r/s, some people are mean...they just want you for your good points and when they got their stuff by using you...they will just dump you...sure it may hurt but do you think all guys are like that?
But meantime, keep yourself busy and try to cure the wound...life gets better slowly each day...trust me..ya?

Hmm..why do I find this so familiar?
Words are dirt cheap lor..a person can tell u he/she loves u and dun mean it. But to certain extent you should be able to tell whether it's true or not.
Not prepared? It's just another common excuse used by many.. -

actually, i think the guy loves her... but he is rather apprehensive about the committment. has he been attached before? perhaps he's like me. wanting to love but rally not sure if he can give you happiness, what he should do as a bf things like that... give him time ti sort it out himself. assure him that you are as afraid of things as he is and that you both can grow together as a couple... maybe that will help. you didn't give enuff detail so this is my gut feelings. good luck gal.

No offence, but please don't become as inflexible as The Bear. True, in this instance, Pete has been insensitive to a genuine heartbreak problem, & the poster is obviously in distress.
However, No reason to persecute. Sometimes, a person means well by trying to joke, which The Bear can't seem to understand in my post in another thread. Their intention may be to lighten up the atmosphere. Sometimes it works (when the problem isn't that serious, & that person just wants to rant, like in the other thread), sometimes, it backfires (such as now). Heck, I've been real moody, but brightened up after someone jokes with me & makes me see the funny side to a problem.
Pete's replies, as I've mentioned, are definitely insensitive, & shouldn't be condoned, but it's Not like those bar clones whose intentions are downright questionable. Please go gentle : ) Mods in AA have my respect because they remind only when appropriate : )

I respect Freedom of Speech. Though of course I do not encourage all craps & insensitivity in AA. But understand that different people see things differently.. And hence might just approach a problem differently.. Some might be light-hearted in an attempt to cheer the other party up... While there could be more serious others.. Sometimes it's hard to say who's giving the 'right' advices and who's not... As much as there are some comments in AA which I deem unfit, I often do not wish to interfere too much into things as these are just people's thoughts... And this is just how the world works.. People uttering everything in the reality world.. Forum being part of the reality world is probably at least partly confined to that... One interesting thing I've learnt in my life is that there are many things happening around us now at the very same time which we probably won't be able to do much for... Remember... You're not 'superman'... At least not at this point of your life... -

To me, no one can help u much...u have to be on ur own...think what you want for yourself...
Sweet-talking is free...true that not all guys love to sweet talk...but sweet talkings can get what they want...u know what i mean...shan't not elaborate too much on that....

Only with time can people become like a clean slate. The guy is insecure/apprehensive...look on the bright side.. going into a relationship too fast is like a big fire..it will burn out quickly compared to a small and steady flame.
