No offence taken, I think you've missed the latter part of my post which states my intention.
I hope you read the reminding part of it.
While i agree with you, there are times when a thread truly needs someone who could just let the rest see the positive side of the problem. To turn sorrow into joy. Please do rest assure i enjoyed those times too.
No persecution at all. At least to me, it didn't seem like one.
I have seen Pete's contribution every now and then, those post were helpful and advises given in due respect to thread starter.
This sudden change in advise is something which i thought he should have at least explain what he meant rather than allowing Bear and Starpuppy and potential forumers to pounce on him and whack him out of the statement.
I see offended forumers, on my part. I just do not see it as a joke or cracking something light. I didn't understand that post to how it will help thread starter.
So with benefit of doubt, i approached to seek explaination, otherwise he should retrack his statement as a matured AA contributor.
I admit that i did sounded aggressive(which to me is firm). My apologies to Pete and others who have gotten the wrong impression of AA mods.
Pete is not a clone as far as i'm concerned.
My personal intention is to protect Pete from being condemned or flamed.
As far as i'm concerned.
His explaination is fair and no further persuation needed.

The world is colorful when there are different kinds of people. We hate them, we love them. We need them! to make this world a more interesting place to live in.
I remember i am not superman. I have count my cost on those post in AA, none was regretted.

You are not the only one who has this encounter. I have been through wat you are going through now.
I have known a guy and we both liked each other. When I thought all was going well until when it seemed to reach the stage to go steady, he wanted out stating that he was not ready for a relationship. I was really upset coz we dun even have the chance to give the relationship a chance. I was thinking to myself, "Am I the one with the problem?" 1 year later, he got engaged to another girl. But, 6 months later, he broke off the engagement. So, I guess, its him, not me who has the problem. I guess, it's not that he is not ready for the commitment. Its just that "he's just not into you"!

No worries : ) As long as you understand where I'm coming from, & we can agree/work things out instead of insisting on our own views, I'm pretty easy-going. I have alot of respect for our mods, & my main aim here is to help others. Thus, sometimes, when I feel, or rather, perceive that the flexibility of the help rendered is about to be compromised, I'll actually say something.
Basically, I agree, Pete overstepped the line. However, since he's already explained his side of the story, then let slide? : ) Afterall, what's important in AA is not who's right & who's wrong, it's whether the distressed poster gets proper help & advice from different perspectives.
1 last note: Do hope that sometimes when other posters joke in a thread whereby a poster is ranting, perhaps instead of trying to be sensitive (resulting in over-sensitivity), mods can bear in mind that making jokes to let the angry poster see the funny side of things may Not be that bad afterall : ) Basically, there's a time & place for everything, be it jokes, sensitivity, good advice, scolding, etc : )

Actually, the "pull out your tongue" part kinda got me. The MC I'm used to is No-nonsense, but Not so fierce until wanna dig out your eyes, pull out your tongue kinda character leh
