Kenashi,
You're welcome, & I'm glad you realise. It's actually my duty to let you know, that jobs are still unpredictable. If you're lucky, everything works out fine, & you get your due recognition. Many times, reality is Not the same as our ideals.
Since you've made up your mind, I won't try to dissuade you. But if you do fall in love in future, & you're lucky enough for that person to love you back, then you'll understand why I tell you Not to give up on that happiness.
Opportunity knocks but once. Blink, & you might miss the person who could actually make your heart sing. Don't close your heart & mind to it.
Best wishes

thank feowfeow, I know that hard work doesn't equal to advancement but at least if the boss don't appreciate me, I can job hop to one that does.
I work smart instead of working hard.
I see colleagues who toil their night away at work but no gain in the end, promotion are handled out to those who did project or scholar while the rest suffered. Once I heard a manager said that "those are what u are paid for" to an ex-colleague of mine. After that incident, my ex-colleague left the organisation. within a mth. The rest just shrugged it off, I know that there is no future in my organisation. So after that, I just hit my quota of workload n do what I want for the rest of the time. Nobody bother me as long as I did my share of work.
