my case is also like that.. my mum not in the condition to give her statement.
The police officer just keep asking us to wait. If my mum cannot give her statement .. then maybe the case will be close soon... so I need to get a lawyer involved to sue the driver .. for causing such a serious damage to my mum... sad to say though ... the police are not doing their job well ...
we were informed by the police saying that my mum is in A&E after a accident ... did not even tell us what happened ... where she got hit... so sad ..
