think it depends from situation to situation lorz.. coz somehow u will feel that that mode of communication is rite, can express urself out w/o giving wrong ideas can liaoz...
prefer face to face, but horz later the ger say 'wait... let me consider... few days later then tell u...' will put the 2 of us in a very awkward position... dunno shud send her home later or not... kena spear & shield (mao dun) only....
anyway think u forgot to thru letters, and icq and thru the radio dedication.. ehhehe~
this is out of the topic but just for laughs (but dunno how laughable)... a warning to guys first horz.. dun ever propose engagement or marriage by putting the ring in a chocolate easter egg and gif it to the girl if she dun like chocolates.. coz someone did it, the girl dun like chocolate gaf it to a child, and they broke up after that... suayz manz..

Think method 2) Face to face suites me better... Alternatively can try 'mouth to mouth', 'hand to hand' etc....

Well, I adopted the "ask on phone" (cos its really late) and "grab her hand" (cross the road mah.....) technique, and it works perfectly!!
And she is still my beloved gf!! (for these 4 yrs) -
