As long as you're her best friend, you'll definitely stand a better chance compared to the rest of ther suitors who aren't even her best friend. So who do you think will stand a bettter chance?
I won't encourage you to pursue her if you aren't close friend with her...especially after what she has told you...cos your chance of success is less than 1%.
It's good that she knows about your feelings for her...cos from now onwards, every little things/concerns that you're going to shower on her will be taken into account.
You might defy common sense and people may laughed at you...but that's what romance is all about.

one simple phrase of advice
"Never say goodbye if you still want to try.
Never give up if you still feel you can go on.
Never say you do not love a person anymore if you cannot let go....."
no one can force you to give up the gal if you want to hold on........
if she say you got NO CHANCE at all....i will ask you to let go..........
base on my own personal opinion.....
if she say maybe.....you may still want to hang around her for a while....
proof to her yr love ........
ONE FINAL word of advice....LOVE cannot be FORCE....... if she really wants
and like you as a frenz ONLY....let her go......you do not want her to label you
as her "stalker" ..the one who irrates her like shit by hanging around her
with unwanted attention and confession of love.....
ultimately its yr choice and yr life to lead......i respect yr decision
on the matter.......
