there's 1 time, when i took mrt to cityhall and transfer to bugis, i was like standing near the 2 seater-seats(the hole which connects 2 cabin together). those 2 seats are already occupied. when the train reached raffles, one of them alight. den there's a malay gal saw the seat. like the others, she walk to the seat and sat down. less den 1 min after she have sat down, a chinese old lady, in her late 50s or so, rush to her and said this in chinese " hey....stand up , stand up, i wan to seat". i was like ...wth... this kind of person oso gt. the malay gal, whom still not sure wats going on, no choice but had to gave up the seat. maybe its becos of the old lady's action.
does that means that we hv to give up seat everytime??
yes i agree that when we see those old ppl or those disable or pregnant women, we hv to be considerate and (zi4 dong4) abit la. wat if next time u become old/pregnant, den no1 give up seat for u, wat will you think.
and btw, any1 knows how to differentiate between pregnant women and non-pregnant 1??

Most of the times, the girls will give up their seats. I've not seen many guys give up their seats. And even if the person give up the seat, the person who takes it, some just treat it like their god given right. Besides, nowadays these people, old, young, teens and some preggies shove people out of the way to get to that seat or whatever. So I would not worry about them not getting the seat. -

Aunties push the used utensils and make loud and very rude comments about you/your choice of food and even point so close their nails nearly touch your food as if you as a person do not exists. I got angry and told them they are Low Class people - Xia Deng Ren.
I had one who sat beside me on the long row seats on the bus while all the seats are free. She used my shoulder to lean on to watch TV. I shove my bag between and she totally lie down on my bag and squash me onto a corner. I got up and told her to lose some weight B!tch!
Today got one auntie chiong to grab a seat.. So many seat around. She blur blur, take my bag off the seat as if its hers and wated to sit down until she realised everyone staring at her... I think she must be damn moron. So many bloody seat, why must always squeeze beside some one...
Nowadays I bo-kek-kee. Damn it, they treat me like dirt why should I even respect them - you should tell them off too. Don't let them think they are old/preggie/whatever, they can get away with bad behaviour and low class attitude. -
I think everyone have their own fair share of bad experiences.
And i believe everyone will use their own discretion to decide if a seat is worth giving up or not.
At times, i did not give up my sit to a fairly older passenger because i felt lousy and didn't felt like doing it. This situation would be different if it is really someone whom i felt i should give the seat to.
Maybe we can define what 'moral' is to you?
Not Giving up a seat to elderly/handicapped/pregnant is considered 'immoral'?
How about not giving as much love and care to your father, and mother?
How about not making donations to charity?
Not lifting a helping hand to a elderly who slipped and fell?
Not guiding a blind across orchard road?
Not buying any item(s)/tissues from those aunties in hawker centres?
Not letting elderly board up the bus and trains first?
Is the term 'moral' appropriate in this thread? Hmm...

Very hard to, because most of the lady have big "disgusting" tummy, usually. Hawker centre... Was at a table where the whole hawker centre was VERY CROWDED... Then 2 deaf / mute snatched up the empty seats beside me... Started complaining the table VERY DIRTY (the table was just a bit wet) and cleaned it with TISSUES... After which threw the tissues right in front of me while I was having my noodles....
I really FELT LIKE giving them the 'sign language'....
ALL IN ALL... I feel that no matter you PREGNANT, FAT, OLD, WHATEVER... If you're FARKED UP... You're FARKED UP....

the way u were brought up will influence the way u feel about yr surrounding, if u feel indifferent to the circumstances facing others then others may said that u r inconsiderate or immoral but to u, that is the norm.

When a woman is in the 3rd trimester, she would be fairly large and if she really treasure her kid, during the 3rd trimester, take the cab. So she is being irresponsible towards herself and her kid. Are the normal commuters at fault of a preggie is stupid to squeeze with the peak hour crowd?
In MRT, there are so many so many seats and so many so many people. How some when an old person or a preggie comes in, no one ever gives up their seat? Why should I always be the one. Why do people always assume they are more tired from work or have more right to take a seat than others. On MRT, usually only a few gets the seat. So most of the time I don't get to seat and I do not even fight with these Entitlement-Attitude people for these seats. So why are you always judging me about my attitude. Is it your BUSINESS??
Really, I find you guys very stupid and judgemental. I live by my own code of conduct and if you had to live by mine, I am sure you will not survive a day. Let me put it across this way, similar to Devil and MC. I do not see every woman, child and old person out there and think they need a seat more than myself. I do give my seat on a judgement basis. And many a times I feel faint and felt horrible pains and had squatted or took actions to alleviate my discomfort. NOT one, NOT ever, NO ONE ever Ever come and offer a seat. ALL the people in their comfortable seats turn their HEADs away and close their EYEs pretending that nothing happen. MOST of all, young TEEN boys will sit there with their Ipods blasting and shaking their heads will look on as if I am a freak. Even In the instance I gave up my seat, I find People STARE at me as IF I am a freak to give up my seat.
So the morons out there, please save your judgement to YOURSELF. You want to know discipline, come live my life.
Tell you what is entitlement. I had this ex-colleague. She thinks she is preggie and so she decided not to work herself. She then assigns her work to office colleagues and we ran around her like mad doing her job and trying to do our own. She was very thankless and stated to us her baby is more important than any of us. Hence we must (Note the key word here: MUST) help her do all the manual work. Actually, she confessed she just like to boss people around and so many people just give way to her and serve her hand and foot, so she took the opportunity to leech the other people's kindness. This is a real case and I've know many preggies who done that and got away cause they know they can.
So some healthy old people also caught on this idea as well and are really rude. Some old man asked my BF for money. When my BF say he's fairly healthy and well fed, my bf rejected. Then the old man started Yelling at the top of his voice cussing away. My BF then confronted him. Now tell me, when in this world did we owe this person a living that when we reject giving our money that we should get cussed at?
Do not be mistaken. I like to help people. Generosity and Charity is part of my general make-up however, I do not take kindly when people take me for a fool. -
