Birds driving me crazy!!!

Ok I had it. For the past one year this stupid bird has been irritating my whole family in the early hours of the day. I don't know if it's just me but this particular bird make sounds in pulsating intervals. Something like woook...woook...wooook. It's MO is always before the sun rise and sun set. It's not so bad in the evening for obvious reasons but in the dusk it can be damn irritaing because my neighbourhood is quiet and the any sound is easily manified. I complained to the relevant authorities but they can't do much except for cutting the trees.this bird is quite common as I have heard it in all parts of singapore. But I still don't know what bird it is. Anyone can tell me what kind of birds it is and anyway to shoo it away?

Nope definitely not crows. They have the same habit as rooster - like to make noise before sunrise and sunset. I've never heard such bird noises before until about a year ago. My guess is they migrated to Singapore about a year ago. In fact they sound like monkeys but I am sure they aren't monkeys as they are very consistent in timing and I hear them all over the island. Next time in the evening, try listening to the it, they are all around the island. It's kinda of irritating.

if it's really bothering u, u can trying asking permission from the gun club or something to cull the birds. but...
i'm an animal/bird lover here...don't do it!

No it's not a common bird. I've never encountered it in all my life before until recently. By the way it's always only one bird making the loud noise. Nobody ever heard before meh? Like monkey noise. Always loud and in descending order. It's sound is so obvious. When I first heard it I thought it was the birds making love cos it sounds like they are on high. Gosh is it just me or what?

It could be seasonal, after a while, it may go away. Or else, hang (a) a big, plastic and swinging crow at your window to scare it away, or (b) big poster of a bird predator.

hahaaha last time when I was living in toa payoh. there a bird nest outside at my corridor the kinda adaptor box thats high up one. and the birds noise is also very terrible. but still ok bah only in the morning more noisy. I still can stand it.

I know which bird you're referring to, sounds like the bird is laughing, mockingbird?

I know those. They're common in Dover and Yio Chu Kang too. Big brown birds. Damn noisy, and they treat car alarms as a rival... So when a car alarm goes off, the bird goes nuts...

Sounds like this really annoying bird in my estate... it would keep making all sorts of noises as if it were despo for its lover.....
Finally it went away after a few weeks... dunno if it died or flew away.... -
I know what kind of bird you are refering to. Some old folk said, this kind of brid bring bad luck one.

the bird is oriole, i think. Its yellow in colour, with a little black bands here and there. very cute one! So must forgive it, ok?

there used to be 1 in the neighbourhood and it would ALWAYS go crazy at 3am.
It's so loud that it somewhat echoes thru the few blocks at my area.
lucky its gone now. stupid bird. hope it doesn't come back again.
Dun think its the yellow bird with black markings. There are far too many of them in my area. I like the colour
Also, this bird which we are talking about seems to be a solitary species as i've never heard more than 1 of them 'singing' simultaneously.
