The lesson taught me to trust my instincts when it comes to gals...

Scribed onto e seat of e bus I took today was this poem...
"So much felt too fast,
but still known far too late...
They knew it couldn't last,
so they took it all away...
They left us nothing,
but still allowed us to remember...
Who will tell me,
what is there left to take?..."
Could be e shadow of e raindrops falling onto e window...this poem seems especially sad and forgotten under e luminance of e street lamps

Just want to share a story I came across when I google-d for "Life's Lessons"...seems like e story of my life...
Once upon a time there was a girl walking down a lonely dark path. She walked into a field to find something she wasn't looking for. Something that she thought only existed in books. A man dressed in silver, riding a black horse was there to greet her. Taken back a moment, losing her breath, she decides to approach him cautiously. When she does, she finds herself enveloped in his passionate wisdom and being. She can't help but wonder what he is all about, what he was sent to do.
After their first encounter she begins to wonder "what has life thrown my way?" Immediately she gasps for air because she thinks it's a dream, she is waiting to be awaken to reality. Days go by and the man approaches her again only to be dressed in gold and, this time, riding a white horse. Taking two steps back in thought the girl now becomes aware that he is no "regular" man, he is a prince sent here from some unknown place. What is he sent for, is it for me?
He hands her a petal that immediately turns into a rose. He takes her hand and instantly she sees into his soul. Afraid to find out what she isn't ready for, she backs away slowly. The prince overpowers her with his dramatic passion, drawing her back into what he has to offer. Unsure of what is happening, the girl decides to play the game of love. But does she really know what that is? Will she ever understand the rules?

In bewilderment, the girl drops the rose and the prince is stabbed in the heart by a thorn. The girl runs but when looking back she sees that she has hurt him, she doesn't know why. The prince gets back up without question, without wonder. He takes her in his arms, shows her what he is and she can only stand there in astonishment.
The path she is traveling leads her to a diversion. Does she take it, or does she turn around and go back to what she knows as home? The prince calls her name as tears roll down his cheeks, longing to carry her away in his arms to a place she finds strange and overwhelming. She feels his hand slipping through her fingers, she tries to hold on but she hears her name from afar. Confused and unsure, she runs in the field away from both voices. Unsure of her actions, she sits to think: "if I go or if I stay, I will question the other way".
She gets up and lets her heart lead her to what it wants, walking in the same direction for days. Suddenly she sees a man standing at the end of the path, the girl wonders who he is. As she gets closer she realizes that he is the prince, but he is no longer the same. Dressed in ragged clothes he is now standing in a field of broken dreams. Instantly the girl begins to cry, she can't believe that one sudden moment could change everything.
As she passes him, he brushes her shoulder and she looks the other way. She can't help but think that the path of life has shown her that it's wonderful to love but hard to understand. For every step she takes walking away from the ragged man she feels a deeper understanding that in the end she was given what she deserved for hurting the ones she loved.
