  I believe at that point he was posting, he just want to release out his pain and immense sadness..(and i believe some posters in aunt agony) felt the same..he must be feeling confused then and maybe trying to seek out answers..which to some others, he was posting something that lacks logic/sensibility.   Then I guess someone should start a forum for venting out emotions. If you are in AA and are not prepared for the stuffs that is being posted here, guess it's quite meaningless. It's like ordering fried kuay tiao without kuay tiao.
  
  Of course I do admit that some posters here are rather mean in their words but we can't just condemn them. It varies from case to case and sometimes some people just deserve to be mean to them.

  I know people tend to use the word depression very loosely nowadays, but if it's true clinical depression - it is not something that a layperson without depression can understand. One way of looking at why male_1978 quit his job - it could be due to the depression. Not being able to work is naturally a consequence.
  
  Life needs to move on, and you would have to set your priorities right, male_1978. First and foremost, you need to have people to talk to, and if you don't mind, it would actually be good to be able to talk with a counsellor. (Noticed that I use the phrase "talk with", not "talk to".) And please do not let the social stigma of seeking professional help like this to hinder your urgent need to seek help.
  
  There are pragmatic issues (e.g. having a job, raising your child) that most well-intending individuals above have already raised in this thread. But if you do not seek resolution within yourself and your emotions, the inability to address these issues adequately would only serve to accentuate the extent of your sadness.
