How do i let go

  i have recently broke up with my gf of 1 1/2 yrs, and we got off to realli bad terms, now i juz wanted to let go but every time i look back, i am filled with pain n regrets of the relationship unable to work out. i loved her lots but she left me for a new guy.i tried everything giving her wad ever she wanted, even having to put up with her being unreasonable and demanding. i know i had to let go, but i juz cant n i dunno how.. can u guys help?

  tell urself that she does not deserve you and you can have more suitable (not better, i dun think got such thing as better) girl in the future.

  i went throught the same thing..for 2 years i missed her..but after that time will heal all wound..just bear with it for 2 year..u will slowly forget her..
  
  but sad to say..i still think of her now and then..

  Once you have made up your mind, there's no turning back. Let go totally.
  
  Try to bury yourself in work, sports, hobby... What you need most are friends whom you can click with. Talk to one who is a close and trusted friend, a good listener and willing to bare with your problems. Confile in him/her.
  
  Try not to be alone because your mind will wander back to her. Do not visit the places you both use to go to. Do not listen to sentimental, love music, songs. Do not go to romantic movies, places. Do not dig out all those love messages, pictures, gifts she bought you. Anything that reminds you of her should be totally forgotten.
  
  Do all the above for about 2 years, maybe 3 or 4. Once you can let go, It's a bright sunny day again.
  
  I was left behind before too. She went for a doc. I ren min. Hai... Now I'm strong again, yippy....
  
  Oops forgot to tell you one important thing, if she call you sometime later, do not go back to her. She's not worth. Move on... "hao ma bu chi hui tou cao"

  thanx loads peeps, i know its gonna be hard its like almost half a yr alreadi n i cant let go... i know wad u all mean, i'll juz haf to move on, sides being in the army probably will help i guess..at least lotsa buddies to chat with.. i guess time will be the only healer, i can only hope things get easier

  4 years ago, my first bf left me for his ex-gf after a month of relationship. If he left me for a new girl, I'll tell myself "I am not interesting to him anymore. There he goes, trying out new & fresh chicks". The feelings weren't so bad. BUT he left me for his ex-gf! So what does it say? "I so f-ked up meh??" He didn't love me at all and he didn't treat me nice either. I was just a substitute to this bast**d. That was how I feel.
  
  1 month of relationship but I took 6 months to get over him. So long...probably because he was my first boyfriend. It's harder for girls to let go of emotional baggages of their past relationship. So, if i can let go, why can't you? You are a man leh...
  
  Now, I have a boyfriend who has better characters than my first. We really cherish each other.
  
  If we keep looking back at the past, the lives ahead of us become meaningless. If we carry on like this, wallowing ourselves in the mud, we are likely to develop depression. Why can't we love ourselves more by thinking forward? Love and pamper yourself by doing things you like and didn't get a chance to do them while you were in the relationship.
  Try out new stuff or check out new chicks. If you get to befriend more girls, you will realise that she is not the perfect girl around.

  when u feel negatively abt the relationship, it is natural that the expection on both sides r different. if she has easily dumped you... why ponder and hope for changes.

  i know its hard, i know it had been said many times. i know its not easy. and i guess feelings are fragil.
  
  it doesnt feel good to be betrayed or whatever so. however, take kind to learn something out of it.

  C'mon dude, she's not the only BEST girl around!
  
  There're some other better girls around. All you need to do is to continue to live ur life to the fullest and by doing so, you will get lot of chance to socialise. Therefore, your chances of meeting more girls will be higher, and chances of making mistakes will be higher as well. But, dun worry, more mistakes = closer to success.
  
  I hope you can find a life more fulfilling soon. Once you've found a better girl, what is this girl to you manz? Hey, it happens to me, it happens to everyone else... so, what's there to be anxious about?

  Key thing is NOT to look back.
  
  Don't look back no matter what. if you find yourself thinking back, distract yourself. surround yourself with friends. they can help by just being there.

  Anyone who left his/her love for another person is not worth being together with. Just take it as she doesn't deserve your love or anyone elses' love.
